Review: iGrip PerfektFit Traveler for the BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930

In certain markets around the world the BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930 is hugely popular with both consumers and business men/women using the device. So if you are going to use your BlackBerry in the car, it makes sense to me to have it mounted where you have easy access to it and also where it is secure. That is where the iGrip PerfektFit Traveler comes in. I am a massive fan of car mounts but until recently I have been using a generic one for my BlackBerry Bold. This iGrip one is now my new love!

The iGrip PerfekFit Traveler is made up of two parts. Both moulded from plastic we have the section with the main arm that suctions onto the car windscreen and then the part that incases the BlackBerry. The two lock together to form one piece by lining up the slots and clipping them together. And it isn't fidderly like some can be. It fits like a glove. Once this is done the iGrip feels super sturdy.

As you would imagine the mount is fixed to your windscreen via a suction cup. An extra clip here enforces the suction meaning once it's on it is staying on. Clearly when removing the mount you will need to undo the clip to release the sucker. Where the arm meets the sucker you have a cog to enable you to position the mount in the position you find it most comfortable.

There are so many variations of car holders available these days, however the iGrip PerfektFit has a couple of advantages over much of the competition. Firstly; it is custom made for the BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930. This ensures a perfect fit for your BlackBerry and you will have the peace of mind that it will not fly out if you take a sharp corner or do some high pspeed pursuits etc!. Ok, maybe the latter was a little far fetched.

The second benefit is build quality. If you want to get the cheapest car holder then you know where you can go to get that. There are no guarantees with the workmanship of the product you will receive and over the years I have come to learn that cheap doesn't always end up being cheap as products do not last and after some time are just not up to the job anymore.

The iGrip is a top quality product made of durable materials. Would I recommend it - I sure would. It's a beauty and staying in my car until BlackBerry 10 comes along.
