Review 12: Arrow

I guess it beats the usual pop ups, advertising shell cases for mobiles that were around 10 years ago.

Even beats the adds for used tampons, buy one half price and get the second free that usually pop up ( if you pardon the pun) on Crackberry.

This show rocks! Can't wait for Flash to come out...just saw the extended trailer and it looks epic!

First time I've noticed these reviews. BlackBerry should contract you to do these formally in BlackBerry World's movie section.

Instead of Rotten Tomatoes, you could call it Crack Review.

I'm not sure about doing reviews like this for BlackBerry but I'm looking forward to listening to the review after work tonight.

It's a cool idea to do reviews like this, I'll keep an eye open for more in the future. This is also the first time I've seen a review like this here, thanks.

We've done about a dozen of them. Last one was Captain America: The Winter Solider. We also do 80s movies. Next one is The Terminator :)

Yeah, Rene is one of the best podcasters / interviewers around and geek culture is where he's strongest. I actually think the intersection of geek and pop culture is a stronger suit for him than Apple worship. I've talked to him a bit about old Amiga / Newtek stuff at BBLive and on Twitter and his interview of Kevin after the "going private" misfire was some of the best of CrackBerry

I haven't listened to this review, but I'd bet money that the review is actually better than the show! I liked the casting of Oliver on Smallville better than the guy who stars in the current series -- although,I think he works well as a darker, more brooding Green Arrow. And neither really pulled off the kind of Bill Sinkiewich (sp) Arrow of my comic book reading youth...

I've tried so many times to get in this show but it bores me to tears! My friend loves it but the bad casting (fans gotta admit that's a horrible Amanda Waller) and flat acting just leaves me waiting for a real DC show.

Slingshot would be a nice app.. but unfortunately it is a Android app only, going to ship it!! No good for BlackBerry as far as I can see... push de devs to come up with a built for BlackBerry App and we can talk about it...

Because we're post phone and tablet now. We've built them up! Now we're talking about all the cool stuff we can do with them, like run apps (which we review), watch tv and movies (which we're now reviewing!), get fit and healthy, learn and connect, and everything else amazing.

Life is evolution or stagnation. Mobile Nations is evolving. And based on the other comments here, most of CB enjoys the world enabled by technology just as much!

+1 I'm liking the new articles on Crackberry! But I've also only had my BlackBerry since October so I still consider myself a newbie to the BlackBerry/CrackBerry community =)

Agreed. Any thought to a review of supernatural? that show is amazing.

I don't care if other people want a bb10 device I wanted one and that's all that matters.

I've tried to watch this show a couple of times but just can't get past the horrible acting, the horrible fight scenes, and the severe unbelievability of a hoody hiding ones identity.

Essentially it's not just the hoodie. He wears green make-up around his eyes down toward the nose making most of his face seem cloaked. Much like Batman's cowel. Speaking of which, at least his eyes are also covered unlike Batman's. And no one seems to recognize Superman once he puts his glasses on as Clark Kent. Surely the Hoodie is better than that isn't it?

I would just like to say, the show is also available in BlackBerry World. Since it isn't listed. And, I just watched the first season!! Can't believe I'm late getting into it. Must wait until Netflix has season 2 since the first half of the season is unavailable on CW and HuluPlus.

Movies and shows are on BB World, hence this review?????! I will go to a show, fan, or review site for this kind of info. This seems more like a lack of identity on the part of Mobile Nations. Nothing going on in mobile? Well, then don't report anything! This is ridiculous.

Regardless of whether you like the show or not; this doesn't belong here.

Hey, I know! My phone has a screen. How about a review of a Panasonic 52" Television... because it's got a screen of course! So they must be relatable.

I'm here to reay mobile/blackberry news. Not to get movies reviews.
Of course "if you don't like movies reviews, don't listen to", but i'm on Crackberry, I shouldn't have to tell me "oh I don't care about tv show, so I don't click".

Agreed. This isn't a Mobile Nation everything about whatever runs on mobile devices app, it's Crackberry.

Posted from my awesome Z30 :-D

I've been watching the show from the beginning and have enjoyed it immensely. I get the fact that because it's on the CW you kind of write it off not to mention it's the Arrow, a character you really didn't get into as a superhero.

I will be watching this all the way to the end.

Can't wait to see the Flash!!

Posted via CB10

I tried to watch the show, I sure did, but after a few episodes I felt like putting an arrow through my own head...which is the general feeling with most shows CW has on its nauseous tv menu...

The only show I ever liked and still follow regularly, 9 riveting seasons later, is "Supernatural", Jensen Ackles and Jared Padaleki are awesome as the Winchester brothers and a lot of fun to watch!

CW has to stop with necessarily trying to cater to tweeners and Twilight rejects... and just make good shows instead!

PS I'm glad that at least CW came to their senses and put a stop to that abhorrent "Supernatural: Bloodlines " idea of a spinoff...

Cartman says: Screw you guys I'm going home!

This podcast used to be called Ad Hoc. Why the change in name? Anyway, I have listened to all the previous episodes and some of them were the best podcasts I have heard. But of course, the episodes were things that I am familiar with: Blade Runner, Terminator, Princes Bride etc, so it was easy to get into.
