The folks from ReFocus Tech have been back in the app lab and this time around they've rolled out a new update to their augmented reality app ARKick that allows you to discover venues around you. The additions in this latest build should please not only current owners of the app through the various bug fixes it offers, but also those who might have bought ARKick previously and then moved in either a BlackBerry Passport or BlackBerry Classic, only to find those two devices weren't fully supported by the app.
Changelog:
- Added support and optimizations for BlackBerry Passport
- Added support and optimizations for BlackBerry Classic
- Minor bug fixes
The update is live in BlackBerry World right now, so no need to wait for it to filter through plus, it's on sale right now for only $1.99. You can check out our hands-on review of ARKick v2.0 to see it in action and decide if it's an app for you. Personally, I use it in conjunction with Foursquare (which is integrated) when I'm travelling to find good places to eat or sights to see in the area that are nearby.
