ReCall is a great missed call reminder app for BlackBerry 10

After having spent some time in the BlackBerry Beta Zone, a new BlackBerry 10 app called ReCall has now arrived in BlackBerry World. ReCall aims to help remind you to call back those folks who might have called you at an inconvenient time, like say when you're in a meeting or making dinner.

It accomplishes this by reviewing your missed calls, incoming and outgoing and offering to set a reminder on your calendar to call those people back. ReCall is available as a free download that offers limited functionality, but should you wish to expand on the options available, there's also an in-app purchase of $0.99 to fully unlock all of the features.

Free version:

  • Request for creation of the reminder
  • Delay reminder: 1 hour
  • Active for incoming phone calls
  • Detailed statistics
  • Active frame for displaying the status of the service
  • Switch Theme supported (Bright and Dark)

Full version (in-app purchase):

  • Automatic creation of the reminder
  • Request for creation of the reminder
  • Notification on / off
  • Reminder Delay: 30 min, 1 hour or 2 hours
  • Active for BBM calls, telephone calls, or both. Both for incoming calls, both for outgoing calls
  • Detailed statistics
  • Active frame for displaying the status of the service
  • Switch Theme supported (Bright and Dark)

For me and knowing how forgetful I am, spending the $0.99 on the upgrade was a pretty easy decision and while not everyone will have a need for ReCall, it's a nice app to have around and the free version offers up just enough to let you know whether of you not you'll want to unlock the full functionality.
