Why do you always start all your comments with "Marketing manager here....."??? I get it... You're a marketing manager... zzz

I mean to say I want to act as the marketing manager for BlackBerry.....i think I can do a better job...
Marketing manager here ( for crackberry and blackberry)

Together to make BBRY succeed ~Team BlackBerry

So Mr. Marketing Manager, you come here to use Crackberry and those of us who use this to do your advertising? You don't work for BlackBerry. You are full of Crap.

Addict for 10 years, but it may be time to get off this drug.

I appreciate that your intent on fulfilling the role. But we take punctuation, sentence structure and image very seriously in Canada.

But it would be nice to see the role change hands.

Hey I like that they always say "marketing manager" funny stuff. At least the poster is having fun with it. Keep up the good work! Its not that serious folks!

Posted via CB10

I don't appreciate it. I left their bank and rolled with Scotia because they did not come out with the app.

That's what I call standing behind BB10.

Posted via CB10

Same here, even if I carry an android phone and an iPhone all day long I still expected this months ago so I moved on my money elsewhere.

Posted via CB10

I know the browser for the rbc site works.
I thought I was seeing things when I read the heading.

Posted via CB10 on my Z10 Oreo

One of those better late (super frakn late tbh) than never ideals.

Finally here, Glad they.made it before b u s t.

Posted via CB10

Holy mother of pearl... I'm speechless... that only took a few weeks to get done. (GAWK!!!)

Posted via CB10

Very true!

BlackBerry will survive in the Corporate and Government Sectors! My Z10 is so much better than an iphone!

Wow did you guys try the app? Looks like a 2yr old made it. Horrible. Not at all optimized for the q10. FAAAIIILLLLLL.

Posted via CB10

Other than accomplishing banking transactions do you want it to load up Grand Theft Auto as well? Just curious towards your comment. What do you expect it to look like?

I think he meant that it does not use Cascades, but rather a Cascades look-alike (like the Fido MyAccount app, for all you people with Fido). It looks mostly the same but you can't "peek" back like you can in Cascades. Also, the fact that it is web-based (has to load data from the Web at every page change) makes it not as nice to use, but it's still good.

But it certainly does not look like it was mad by a two-year old.

--Q10 and Canadian all the way! Posted via CB10 on #IChooseBlackBerry10

I wonder why they went with a cascades look alike instead of just using the real thing? Must have been easier to use the real thing. It may have something to do with security and keeping data on the device? Maybe that's why it has to load stuff from the website for every menu.

Still. Thanks RBC!

Is it just accessing your bank account or can you also use the app to access your cc accounts namely Visa?

Posted via CB10

Things people have been asking for are starting to show up... so they've got to find something else to complain about.

Soon it will be 'BlackBerry sucks because my mom said so" and then we'll know BlackBerry made it.

Posted via CB10

Yeah I'd agree. This app is horrible on the Q10. Massive lags and shoddy graphics design. This is the best RBC could muster? Ridiculous.

From the 9700 Bold2 to a Q10 via CB10

I agree. The app is a little laggy on my Q10, and does not have the BB10 experience at all. Has the performance of a shitty android ported app. Even the text from the menu looks blotchy. What gives?

Prema watsa is a idiot he's just going to sell the company for parts

Posted via CB10

Let's hope CIBC follows quickly, they're browser version keeps locking up might switch banks, well for this band other reasons...

Posted via CB10

From what I heard, it was more like a "launcher" than an actual app. I'm not with CIBC, but I think it just basically loads the CIBC mobile banking webpage in the application.

--Q10 and Canadian all the way! Posted via CB10 on #IChooseBlackBerry10

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...but I believe the CIBC app is not a browser launcher. It always remembers my card # and is never in my browsing history. Works great for me.

Back on topic - Great news for the RBC customers! Grats!

Posted via CB10

I asked VanCity a while back. They were bragging that they were coming out with an Android app. They were pretty noncommittal.

Posted via CB10

Meridian Credit Union App is available. An android port but works well. I enjoyed bugging the hell out of them and even gave them Alec Saunders's email if they need help. Not saying that did it, but whatever the reason it is available.

It's about time. And I hold the Royal Bank solely responsible. TD, Scotia, ING etc were here a while back. I don't care what people are saying. The Apps continue to come. Love my z10, and getting the z30 ASAP!

BlackBerry will survive in the Corporate and Government Sectors! My Z10 is so much better than an iphone!

The only negative thing the wife had to say since going from her iPhone to her Z10 was the lack of this app. Now she can put the iPad down and love the Z10 fully!

Posted via CB10

Great! Banking apps are key apps and a definite must for every mobile platform. Every new banking app should be a small celebration! :)

Funny how the us government saved money on wages, the news is all doom and gloom, but the markets are in the green.

I was looking forward to the NFC payment feature but it's not there. I wonder if it will be a separate apps?

Posted via CB10

I was looking for it too. Somebody on the RBC thread said that it was in partnership with Bell and would be coming later this year. Don't ask me what that means.

--Q10 and Canadian all the way! Posted via CB10 on #IChooseBlackBerry10

I don't bank with RBC, but I'm tempted to download it to show my appreciation for their contributions to the community.

The US Government and it's health care website are having problems. Obama says well its expected to have glitches and a million people have visited the site. It's like Apple and ios7 and it's glitches. Everything will be fine! Can you imagine if it was BlackBerry. It would be the end of the world! Amazing!

BlackBerry will survive in the Corporate and Government Sectors! My Z10 is so much better than an iphone!

I wouldn't call it awful as it does allow for secure banking (presumably) but it is pretty bad. The UI feels really lazily done. Between pages flying in from the wrong side, the main page being too wide on every device but the Z10, and the all to frequent loading circle it's a bit of a mess. It looks a lot less professional than I would have expected from a banking app with its balloonish, oversized icons too. I still prefer the browser version.

BlackBerry 10 gestures don't work either. I agree the mobile site is a much better experience than this poorly written app. I hate it when they try to disguise it to appear as a cascades app

Have you seen the desktop browser version of the RBC banking site? It leaves a lot to be desired compared to CIBC or ING. I think the RBC mobile is just a reflection of their main site which is not very professional looking compared to others but it gets the job done.

Pretty basic stuff here. I'll stick to using the bookmark I have saved in my Z10 browser. I get all the functions this way!

Posted via CB10

Is it my idea or this app is very sluggish?
Also I noticed that although I'm using 10.2 the squircle is actually the old 10.1 circle.

Besides that, I'm happy to finally have the app and be able to dump the mobile site.

Posted via CB10

It's not written in Cascades, so it's just a look-alike, and it's web-based (meaning it has to poll the servers at every page change, seeing as how it's a banking application), which is why it's slow. All web-based apps are like that. Not much RBC can do about that.

--Q10 and Canadian all the way! Posted via CB10 on #IChooseBlackBerry10

After this long, I'm disappointed with the result. I expected more just a banking app. I really hoped for a mobile gateway into a broader spectrum of their services.

Posted via CB10 on Zed10.

Great...just lovely..except I use PCFinancial, and for some damned reson their app that worked perfectly fine on my 9900 is not avail for Q10

Strange though..when I do an interact transfer into PC, I have the option of using the same PC mobile app?

WTF is up wit dat huh??

Written with the superlative Q10..Z30 a coming!

BlackBerry is dead? ......but the apps keep coming...10.2? I've already moved on to 10.5.

Time to solidify some partnerships with a Lens manufacturer, exclusive deals with certain carriers.

BlackBerry could have saved 4,500 redundancies to retrain as BlackBerry reps to demonstrate the speed and fluid power of BB10 around America. Do a demos blitz around America, from Wall Street To Main Street.

Every state should have BlackBerry reps on call.

It's lazy and stupid to rely on carriers to do this for BlackBerry.

This is why Apple have the Apple stores.

Apple take ownership of their products and services.

Retraining not redundancies...

BlackBerry......Get it done

(I really need a copyright symbol in the keyboard . BlackBerry 10.3 - 10.5)

It's ok but you can't access RBC direct investing unless you go to the website. Still good to see it here, finally.

Wow! I'm not even with RBC and I'm goi g to say Finally! ... I waited a while for my banking app too (Scotiabank) but RBC is a major supporter and shareholder within this company and it took this long

Posted via CB10

Finally. I downloaded it and opened it. So fat so good. I hope RBC's delay on bringing this out is so the app is clean and bug free.

Posted via CB10

Same problem here. Also get this message for CBC Hockey Night in Canada app.

Z10. ATT

Posted via CB10

Don't know if this will work, but close BBWorld, then try again after shutting off your cellular network and data services (wifi only download of course).

I've got the Chase app sideloaded but what a smack not to have a native app. My sister would not get a Q10 and went with a Droid instead specifically because there's no native Chase app for BB10. Would have been her 4th BB (sigh).

Posted via CB10

I'm happy to have the app, but it needs a lot of work... it lags so much!

Posted via CB10 with my Z10

Thanks RBC!

Next up: Real cascades interface and NFC payment support. Then they'll proceed to rule Canada's banking industry. Everyone I've ever talked to has said NFC phone payment would be the cat's ass. The infrastructure is already in place. C'mon!!!!

It's a start. The big banks generally have less than great app design. ING Direct by far shines and is the gold standard. It's sad that the banks are so slow on the mobile uptake. Banking app is table stakes and is a launching pad for other upcoming mobile features.

Posted via CB10

I tweeted them about the lack of functionality compared to the iOS version and they just replied:

@AskRBC: @Konfucius18 Hi there, we appreciate you sharing your feedback on the app; it's what helps us improve. We'll pass this on to Head Office ^EC

Posted via CB10

Not working on my Z10 in BC. Says I am not connected to the Internet when I am. Tried re-booting but no better.

Posted via CB10

Halle-friggin-LUJAH! It's about time. Better late and secure, but still, you'd think my banking fees alone paid for the Dev costs.

Posted via CB10

Great. When is the "yellow" version that allows direct deposit into RBC US accounts coming? That is the one I miss.

Posted via CBQ10

Where the hell is the BMO app?? Man this sucks. I've emailed bank of montreal and they say it's coming since BB10 launched. BlackBerry needs to kick their ass here.

Posted via CB10

Do you need OS10.2 to download this? I clicked on the link and it says "Unavailable for this device"
I have a Z10 but I don't have OS10.2.
Could it also be because I'm in Seattle on an AT&T Z10?
Man I really need this app.
Regardless, good job RBC. Hopefully I can download this when I get back to Canada.

I have 10.2 on DEV C. Developer needs to set devices allowed. Odd that it is not avail for Z10. It may be because you are in the USA, as am I with my Rogers phone.

I live in the UK and needed this, but I have a VPN service so am all setup with the app...get something like Witopia VPN service, then use one of their Canadian ipsec vpn gateways on your BB10 phone. You may need to turn off your mobile/cell network connection for the app to show, and then download the app from BBWorld via wifi.

I'm jealous. I wish some of the US banks would follow suit. Chase used to have an app but stopped supporting it back in April. I guess i'll just have to sideload their apps fro androids and hope that all the functions work.

Posted via CB10

Very happy to have this app in my lineup. Just need a connection to my DI account and this app would be fully set.

Posted via CB10

About frickn time, I'm waiting for BMO it's apparently coming. I wish all the bad BlackBerry news would stop for at least a month, tired of defending my favorite lil'Z10.

Posted via CB10

Am a Canadian living in UK and bank with RBC. I tried to download RBC app and screen says "not available for device". I use a Z10 running OS 10.1.0. 4181 on the T-Mobile (EE) network. Any suggestions? Anyone else had this problem?

Interesting solution. However, why would I want to pay US$5.99 and set up a VPN gateway to obtain an app that should be freely downloadable for free! An expensive and longwinded way of possibly getting it! Any more suggestions folks??

I wouldn't get a VPN service for 1 app, e.g. myself, I use it to actually get decent content to watch on Netflix, Amazon Video... and to actually be able to access Hulu, Pandora, Comedy Central, CBC, Hockey Night in Canada, and tons of other US, CDN, etc content. Or to access UK content like 4OD, BBC, etc while travelling abroad.

Oh yeah, and can access other geo-blocked BB apps like Slacker, ABC Video, etc.

Not only that, but apps are, to my recollection, always cheaper if I buy from BBWorld while logged in the VPN from the US.

And can use public wifi without fear of packet sniffing Wireshark users as everything is 128 bit encrypted (unless you're a spy or a diplomat or something, no one will bother trying to crack it... well except the NSA ).

So depending on the person, potentially a few more reason to pay for VPN service.

Fantastic app, just like the bb7 version. However, much like with that one, I wish It had access to investments too. Oh well, glad to have it. Thanks.

Maybe it's just me but it feels like someone woke up in the middle of the night, finally realized that they've been ignoring and pissing off an entire group of people and scrambled around to put something together. In comparison to the their apps for the IPhone and Android this one doesn't look like it got much attention

Posted via CB10

The z10 browser is so good that accessing RBC wirelessly was not a big chore. But thanks to RBC -- the BB10 app seems at least as good as the iPhone/iPad version so far.

Tried multiple times in several places and still get " your device is not connected to the Internet " message.
