Leaked photos show off QWERTY BlackBerry 10 prototype

So ... we're not sure just what this little guy is or where it came from, but here it is. It's a funny looking BlackBerry 10-ish device with somewhat of a QWERTY keyboard (notice there are no numbers or symbols). It kind of looks like a super early BlackBerry Q5, but the word on the street is that it may actually be a developer device for an upcoming BlackBerry 10 phone — possibly the Windermere device we've heard about previously.

Aside from these two images there isn't much to go along with it however. We'll continue to do some more digging and see if we can come up with anything, but don't expect to see much come from this one. It's just a prototype / developer device that most people will never see, and we're not even sure where this one came from in the first place. Bottom line — don't worry about this becoming a production device for the public.

Feel free to weigh in with your thoughts — if we find out more we'll let you know!

I would not buy that. I would like my Q10 keyboard as it is with a taller screen. Probably aspect ratio of 4X5. I do not like the sharp square corners of this one either.

This handset for me, has the makings of an superb form factor, for the future physical Qwerty BlackBerry smartphones.

I'm very excited for this one and hope the screen size and internal specs, place this on par with the leading smartphone on the market this fall.

The keypad sounds like a Bold move. With the correct implementation, this could turn out to be the trump card BlackBerry has been searching for.

Thos prototype look ugly. But I think that this model is still far from the device that will be released. Ist probably only o model to try the new keyboard that personaly I don't like. As an old BB user I use the symbols directly from the keyboard with both hands.

I like it, I think it's a premium looking device and definitely different from anything out there. There's no point producing another android/iphone clone. Style will play an essential part of the next device if it's to sell well.

Seriously haters, are you gonna buy this PROTOTYPE on its first phase? Such judgmental douche bags! SMH Learn to know the meaning of PROTOTYPE first before you start typing.

This phone is just barebone dev device, it is probably just the screen rez that matters, that is probably why the numbers are missing on the keyboard as well. it has absolutely no styling applied. Guyz, STFU!

if there is the 5 inch display that was leaked by you guys today I would be a bit disappointed you cant put the 2 together, there is no dimensions or objects to compare it with so how do you know its little? that could be the 5 inch BB10 the screen was for, the screen looks pretty 1:1 to me....
