Pump up your device battery with deBattGym - 50 free copies to be won!

By Michael Hepples on 2 Jul 2010 10:38 am EDT

Battery life is a constant concern for any mobile device user, and even with the awesome battery life some of the newer devices are experiencing, we always want just a little bit more. This new app aims to help you montir your battery life, and to train it over time to be better overall. Simple and straight-forward, the app places a notification icon in your banner with your current battery percentage, color-coded for the amount of battery life you have left. Launching the app itself will provide you with a splash screen that shows your current battery life, temperature, and discharge. After a certain number of charge cycles, the app will prompt you on the best course of action to extend your battery life, then reset itself to count down to the next action. The option to set notifications through the native profiles ensures you'll never forget to charge your battery again, and over time you should see some improvement in the overall life of your battery. The app is available in the CB store for $4.99 for all devices running 4.6 OS and up, and a free trial is available for the first 15 days for those who like to try before they buy.

Contest: We have 50 copies of deBattGym to give away! Just leave a comment on this post to enter. Contest ends this Sunday at Midnight PDT. Please only leave one comment, multiple entries won't count.

Pump up your device battery with deBattGym - 50 free copies to be won!

Holy moly, I just bought two new batteries for my original Storm from hong kong from Ebay and this app could have helped me get to my 2 year mark! I'd love to test it out!

I've never won anything in my life so, you know, you should probably pick me since there's a 1st for everything ;]

I hope I win. This would go great with my Curve now that I am tethering my laptop. (Thanks to the 1/2 off Tether deal a few days ago)

I was just looking for an app. to tell me my true current capacity of my battery since I think it is starting to die. Maybe this would help extend its life since I have a storm and don't want to replace it

Seems like with the new os from verizon, for the 9550 my battery life has went down. This application would be awesome to have.
Please consider me.

Watching my battery all day as I move from strong to weak signal areas is one of my biggest concerns. The way I charge it and constantly top it off, this would really help keep track of it all.

I could definitely use this program my battery does some weird stuff. I think it may be possessed. Maybe deBattExcorist will work if this doesn't.

I would be most happy if I were selected... and everyone would want a Blackberry like mine! thank you in advance for your consideration!

Neat program.... definately needed! Could definately use something like this for my Storm2! Nice going developers!

well seems more useful then battery watch which is basically a stripped down version of this app and the one im currently using...would be nice to upgrade, would be nice.

Any thing that can help me get more out of my battery is welecomed. I just bought the Seidio 1700mAH battery for my Storm 2 and I am trying to train it now by charging it for 8 hours and then letting it fully discharge before charging again.

I could just see the great advantages that this app would procure me. We can never get enough of our battery!
Would love a copy of this.

Thank you Crackberry for this! ;-)

I am always using my Blackberry and generally using multiple apps at the same time. My battery life varries from day to day. Having this app would be great! Please choose me!!!

If this app works as it states then I'll pass the good word on to every Blackberry user I know. I've done it with other apps and I enjoy passing on a good tip.

I want this to be my first win! Could really use this app as I'm constantly fighting with my battery

This is an awesome looking app that I won't be able to afford. My battery health and keeping my device from acquiring scratches are the things I'm most OCD about in this life. Sure would be awesome to win this!
