Obama Keeps his BlackBerry

In case you were losing any sleep over whether or not President Obama did in fact get to keep his BlackBerry (it was looking sketchy for a day or two there with Sectera Edge stuff floating around the web and on CNN) the proof is in the picture!

The only question now is what do you think he should do to accessorize it? Stay naked? Skin it? A custom ColorWare paint job? Maybe a Presidential Seal Coveroo? I wonder if this will push RIM to launch the CDMA 9030 a little quicker so they can get Obama on the latest and greatest vs. an 8330?

Can't RIM make him his own model? President Obama has been very vocal about his blackberry, doesn't that deserve a lot of love from RIM? Something that is exclusively only for the President -- The biggest and the most popular (free) endorser of the great Blackberry.

can I get an AMEN!!!! :)

So it seems I have one thing in common with the 'messiah'. Other than the Blackberry there's nothing else to compare. Oh, by the way...WHO CARES??? The sooner he has unrestricted access to his BB the better. 2012 can't get here soon enough!

His educational background goes from Occidental College (first two years, not Ivy League, wtf is that?) to Columbia to Harvard Law. He hasn't released his transcripts as far as I know.

Back to the article, yes, RIM should make him an "Exclusive Model" since he is the PRESIDENT of the United States! (yep, yep).

Also, I really think he would be using the Bold if it didn't have a camera on it.

Two thumbs up for upgrading from that dinosaur 8700 to 8830.

Someone did drink there Haterad, man. Its not 2012 it will be 2017 (another 8 more years for you glenn) lol. Anyhow, I am glad he's got upgraded if the bold didnt have a camera he'd be using it. If RIMM has a brain, I am sure they are making a model for the President.

Wow.. I sent Crackberry 2 articles from Yahoo News about a week ago, one of which stating he was getting to keep his blackberry and that he would have a special one for security reasons and THIS is what you post a week later????

Who said he ever upgraded? I mean we've all seen him using an 8700 which was on the AT&T network, but this picture shows him using an 8830 for Verizon.

Now if I remember correctly a few months back employees were fired from Verizon for looking up his account information.

This picture is old, the 8700 is what he uses now.. being that the government has a contract with AT&T.

He isn't allowed to use a device with GPS.

Did you guys not hear the news?Verizon Wireless signed a five year deal with the presidents executive office...so that HAS to be a an 8830 from Verizon Wireless....I Work for VZW it came out on our employee news!

Don't agree with him....didn't vote for him, BUT, he is the President, and he rocks a Berry. What he needs is one of those Coveroo's with the Pres Seal on it. Then, when he meets with the leader of another country, he could whip that bad boy out!!!! :)

Actually the liberals would probably be civil with the criticisms of McCain. Just as most conservatives are civil with their criticism of Obama. However, both liberals and true conservatives (the classicists and libertarians) would be highly critical of Sarah Palin.

There's an article in the NYTimes today about Obama and his blackberry and email. (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/01/us/politics/01obama.html) So they say it's a special super secret blackberry with encryption. Well, it implies that. I'm just happy for him that he got to keep it.
