BlackBerry 10 Launch Event Available Via Webcast on January 30th, 2013
WATERLOO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - January 28, 2013) - Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM)(TSX: RIM) will be broadcasting the BlackBerry® 10 launch event on January 30th, 2013, via webcast. The event will happen simultaneously in New York, Toronto, London, Paris, Dubai, Johannesburg, Jakarta and Delhi. This day will mark the official launch of its new platform - BlackBerry 10, as well as the unveiling of the first two BlackBerry 10 smartphones. Details on the smartphones and their availability will be announced at the event.
A live webcast will be held beginning at 10 am ET, which can be accessed via http://www1.rim.com/newsroom.html.

I know... Just read it and am so excited that they have finally included India & Indonesia, two markets where BB rocks, in the launch. I hope they give out realease dates (which I hope is a not more than day or two) and prices (which aren't sky high) for hese markets are as well.

I had been posing this question all last month and now the answer is finally here. I felt worse for Indonesia since BB is #1 there.
Currently there are no details as to where the event will be. I have a feeling it is going to be more of a closed door corporate event.

My office blocks youtube too. I was thinking of just bringing in my PlayBook and bridging it to my BlackBerry. But I have a meeting scheduled at 10a.m. I hope those attending the meeting don't mind the PlayBook and earphones :D

Hmm i know rim has business clients on the east coast but this might be a bad thing if the people who wont be up at 7 pacific time will only hear about this event through the media reports and the web. Most of them might just bring up rims downside ie skype instagram whatsapp possibly being absent. Since rims target is ios and android clients they should have maybe taken some focus away from the business clientele.

Who needs sleep?! 7am Wednesday morning I'll be sitting with a fully charged PlayBook with headphones tuned in to the rebirth of RIM. NOW, to really ice the cake that day would be to hear that all major US carriers, including Sprint, will have the two new phones, Z10 and X10, available that day. Because if going by the leaked Vodafone doc and responses from various carrier reps. The western United States would have BB10 units available as of 10am. But that's just how it would play out in my perfect world. Lol!

Any idea WHERE we can buy the BB10? Like my die hard Apple friends, I am ready to stand in line at 12:01am to get my new BB!!!
I will say, this is the LAST SHOT I will give RIM. If this is junk, I am done with them and T-Mobile. My first BB was the 7105t as I remember, I have always stayed true to BB. But the ridicule of still be a BB fan is almost to much!!! :)
