Plus for me..the Canadian BestBuy pre-order system is down. I can't put money on a pre order either.

I'm in the US, and we don't have ANY pre-orders on any carrier yet. Hoping the 9850/9860 drops somewhere soon.

Just remember that us poor plebs over here in the UK pay well over the odds for consumer goods compared to the US/Canada/Asia/Africa/Mars/Jupiter and even the rest of Europe!

You'll probably find that it'll be priced around the same amount but in dollars, ie $500

It's what's known to UK residents as "rip off Britain". Everything this side of the Atlantic is always far more expensive than on your side!

Just been into my local Vodafone store (Scotland, Fife). I spoke to the manager of the store and he confirmed that Vodafone UK will be carrying all of the new blackberry models, the 9900, 9810 and 9860. He estimated that the 9900 will be in store within two weeks.

He wasn't too keen to confirm the pricing structure although did tell me that the 9810 will be kicking off at £41 on a 24 month contract although wouldn't say anything more. (free handset 24 months) AutoPilot2020 isnt wrong...there is a contact at £31 although you will pay a heavy price for the device at that tariff. The £41 per month is a free handset...900 mins unlimited txt, 750MB bb data plan!! im going for 9810!!

24 month contract is WAY to long for me, I'll pass. Given the prices I can have many other devices within the same price range with much, much better tariffs... UK operators can do better... Waiting for T-Mobile response...

I'll do the 21 month installment deal (interest free) with T-mobile when they release the 9900 in the U.S.

Nah. Too much money for the time being. I was really excited about the release and still am, but I've just been put off by the price. Why does a 9900 cost more than a Galaxy S2, when the S2 has on par/better technology in it? I got an answer that read, "Because it's new". I don't give a toss whether it's new or not. I'd like to pay for what I get, not because of the way it looks or because it has just come out. Companies love releasing highly anticipated products; they're already laughing all the way to the bank, especially here in the UK.
Here's an example:
The 2011 Ford Focus in the UK starts at £16,000 ($26,120) this does not even include fog lights. Bog standard.
The 2012 Ford Focus in the US starts at $16,500 (£10,107). It even includes fog lights and a few more extras. I'm not sure if the final price includes taxes, but I know it's a bargain for a brand new Focus.

Free for a 24 month contract? Damn too bad I am in the US where I bet they will come out with $250 for the SAME amount of time.....and then another fist up the arse half a year later when it is obsolete upon QNX release......this aint about loving RIM products anymore this is about being able to buy said products.

My thoughts exactly @torrejonboy, this is a rather sweet deal I wish we could get in the USA.

The contract prices in the UK aren't so bad. Like, an iPhone 4 is available for free on a £40 a month contract for 24 months. However, the handset only price is £519. I bought my 9700 last July 2010 for £25 a month on a 24 month contract. Tethering is also free in this country; the data you use connected to a computer comes out of our data plan.

Envy u guys ! I live in Australia and have been waiting for any explosive news from local carriers, sadly, nothing comes out yet!!!

I guess pre-order from Canada/UK would be my best choice...
