Pre-Order your BlackBerry 9500 Today?! Posted in News & Rumors on 15 Jul 2008 09:17 by Kevin Michaluk | Update: Expansys pulled the page/link from their website. We knew it was too good to be true. Potentially a a case of an early-attempt at SEO gone blogosphere crazy. ** I know it's crazy, but the folks at Expansys have already tossed the BlackBerry 9500 up on their website for sale.... Of course, no pricing is listed and it's only available for pre-order with no availability date set (not sure why anyone would order?!), but they have nicely summarized the tech specs and features of the BlackBerry 9500 (they've decided to skip choosing whether it's currently a Thunder or Storm and have stuck to model number) that have been rumored to date. It appears to be a new pic of the 9500 though and not an edit job from existing images we have seen on the net already. I love how they've even listed the package contents:
Don't get your hopes up that you'll be able to take delivery of this baby tomorrow, or next week, or next month, or the next month, or the month after that, but if you like to torture yourself head on over to their site (click the image above) and drool. [ via Trusted Reviews ]

Listed as a GSM device. Vodafone model?
their site says this is a GSM phone, when it's coming out to Verizon exclusively. wouldn't that make it a CDMA phone?
vodafone owns a big stake of verizon. so it'll be vodafone/gsm in europe and verizon/cdma in north america
Hee hee they're getting well ahead of the game aren't they !?..I love it :)
I'm still not sure about all these images....why is there a black curve over the Blackberry text at top which is a different colour to the casing around LED light ? It can't be the glass as there a definite horizontal line under the Blackberry text which I presume is the edge of the glass screen (similar to the Bold & Javelin shots we've seen).
It seems that it has been removed from Expansys
It has been removed off the site probably due to the reasons listed and BB are not the biggest fans of preorders

Horizon(Canadien) had it listed coming Aug 12... they have just now changed into to August 29. I can dream can't I?
Although this one has been "pulled" already, they are however still offering the Bold for pre-order, at what must be one of the highest prices I have seen quoted (in the U.K.) so far... £534.95... and they still aren't even quoting an anticipated availability date.
I somehow think I will be looking elsewhere for mine!
