Although most of the media have all eyes focused on the upcoming launch of the BlackBerry Passport we musn't forget that we should also see the official unleashing of the latest creation from BlackBerry and Porsche Design - the P'9983. We told you recently that there would be an event in Dubai on September 17th and although we won't be travelling to that one ourselves we do now have an alternative.
Next week London will also get a BlackBerry Porsche Design media event, as expected - at Harrods, where both the previous devices (P'9981 & P'9982) were exclusively available in the UK.
I'll be heading into town on the day of the event (I'm keeping the day and time to myself just in case it's a secret) so expect some video footage of the new device. I'm also told that I'll be able to get my paws on a review device that day so if this one is like it's predecessors, we should have a rather awesome unboxing video for you.
The Porsche Design BlackBerry smartphones sure come with a hefty price tag so they won't be for everyone, but in the past we've seen celebs rocking them. And me!
Keep your eyes peeled next week for more details.

This photo will make you drool
As a longtime BlackBerry addict and gadget lover in general, it's pretty rare (read: never) that I feel envious of another person's tech collection. That said, I just had one of those moments where I felt true envy. The photo above was just tweeted to me by Barry Lapthorne, who in addition to his trusty BlackBerry Z30 is rock'n ALL of the latest and yet to be released BlackBerry 10...
