The Abu Dhabi Police Department has sent out a warning to anyone who is making use of BlackBerry Messenger advising them not to click on any links recieved over the instant messaging protocol. This warning was issued after emergency services in the area saw a 120 per cent increase of calls reulting in 13,338 calls in 5 hours making it increasingly difficult for real emergency calls to get through. Abu Dhabi Police officials are now investigating the issue in an effort to see if they can find the source.
