CrackBerry Best Media App Player for YouTube

If you followed the CrackBerry App Awards you know that the best media app was won by Player for YouTube. This handy app makes checking out YouTube videos from your BlackBerry a whole lot better. The app allows you to skip the dinky mobile site and browse, play, search and share YouTube videos with ease. Player for YouTube Pro gives you a much better experience and will make you a YouTube-aholic in no time. Features include:

  • Featured, Popular, Top Rated, Newest and Most Viewed Feeds
  • Playing videos over RTSP Streaming or Wifi and WAP
  • Search for videos, including saved search history
  • Support for High Quality videos
  • New embedded video player, does not launch browser
  • Uploading of videos

An ad-supported free version of the app is also available, however it does not allow for uploading of videos. Player for YouTube Pro sells for $4.99 in the CrackBerry App Store.

Contest: We have 50 copies of Player for YouTube Pro to give away. Just leave a single comment on this post to enter. Contest ends Sunday at midnight PDT.

Contest: CrackBerry Best Media App Player for YouTube - 50 copies to be won

Blackberry definitely needs to make viewing videos on their phones a lot better! Hopefully they add that improvement to the future phones; Torch is a good start, but not a fan of the design :X

I really like the free version on my Storm. The full version would be oh so nice for when my Storm3 comes along...

I would love to get a copy of this. I am a youtubeaholic and I have never one any of these crackberry contests.

I'd never really given much thought to using another app to view YouTube videos, instead usually opting for the mobile site. But now that I know there's a better alternative out can I not be on board? Not only is it better -- it's CrackBerry approved! Hook me up, please! :)

I've been wanting something like this. I hadn't looked in a while, so I didn't know a good program was finally created.

then the You Tube player provided by Verizon. That ALWAYS locks up and half the time the buttons do not work. This would be a great replacement.

I have never really had a problem with the mobile site on my Storm 9550. And once the HQ videos were implemented I haven't had any complaints.

That being said, I've just tried the free version for the first time. I can see the convenience right away. No need to open the browser then click the bookmark. In just two clicks, I'm there and watching what I want. Nice job.

im shocked that this app won for best media. i downloaded the free version a few times and when it worked it was cool, but I've had so many problems with this app before that i just uninstalled it. would play on my phone. but if the pro version is better and works i'll give it a shot.

Woudnt mind Pro, the free version works good...would love to use pro features though...

Thanks crackberry for the opportunity to win!

This would be very cool, since I've found YouTube searches on my 9700 to be cumbersome enough to not do.

I just heard there was a contest for players on Youtube. Seeing as I am a Player, I immediately went to Youtube, but found no contest. I'll post here in case someone can leave a link to the contest for Players.

GT, Player

This is a great app and works very well. The only downside of the FREE version is that it does not have subscriptions which makes it virtually useless to me so im stuck using the mobile website version (garbage). Please count me in for the contest to wind a PRO version.

I truly welcome this app. You Tube has been a sub mediocre experience at best when using Bolt 2.3 or the Blackberry Browser. I really hope to be a winner.

I am a regular user of the FREE version of this, its a fantastic app ... only one problem with the free version is the adverts get in the way in the list.

Woo hoo! Look forward to the prize! Thank you Crackberry in advance! ...Knew I loved this site for a reason... ;)
