Plants vs. Zombies making its way onto the BlackBerry PlayBook today (For real this time!)
We know, we know -- You are anxious to get Plants vs. Zombies onto your beloved BlackBerry PlayBook, and we reported earlier in the month that it was coming, but this time it is for real. It's popping up now in BlackBerry App World for some users, so head over to the link below if you want to check it out. It will run you $6.99, but if you know anything at all about PvZ, you'll have no problem dishing out the cash. Be sure to keep on the look out, dust off that old peashooter and be ready for the game to go live if you're not seeing it yet (video review to follow!) Sound off in the comments if it's available for you.

cjterminator Feb 16, 2012 at 10:27 am
Got it, downloading now :) and yes it is $6.99 same as on iPad.
peterallcdn Feb 16, 2012 at 7:23 pm
Actually, it's dropped to only $4.99 when purchasing from Canada. $2 drop in a matter of hours, by tomorrow morning it's gonna be FREE!!! lol
sirpaul896 Feb 17, 2012 at 4:14 pm
I got an email today saying I'm getting a $3 refund because I bought it for $7 yesterday. So I got it for $4! Pretty awesome. This game is fantastic!
bluetroll Feb 16, 2012 at 10:39 am
bought it! thanks!
you sir name Feb 16, 2012 at 10:43 am
If there's one thing I've learned from EA, it's that this game will be on sale within a month or two. I have no problem paying $6.99 for it (it's an amazing game), but not when it's going to drop soon. Been burned before on Madden and Bejeweled 2 to name a few - and only by a few days!
ryanlrobinson Feb 16, 2012 at 3:20 pm
Exactly. I'm on board with this strategy.
ip.amps Feb 16, 2012 at 10:52 am
here in Thailand the price is only US$ 5.25! :D
csantoss Feb 16, 2012 at 10:53 am
This is excellent news!!!! Keep them coming and the haters will have to shut up.
Got it for $5.25, so Price varies by region I guess...
Now if OS 2.0 would just drop already!!!! :-)
blackcaneaddict Feb 16, 2012 at 12:16 pm
+1
O.S. 2.0 released tonight would be amazing end to an already great day.
sirpaul896 Feb 16, 2012 at 10:58 am
Just bought it for $7 - hope it's as good as you guys hype it up to be!
sirpaul896 Feb 16, 2012 at 1:12 pm
Edit: It's better. This game is extremely addicting!
Smiley88 Feb 16, 2012 at 11:15 am
My kids play the web and gameboy version. Is this any better? $7 maybe i'll wait.
The_Adventist Feb 16, 2012 at 11:37 am
Ya, just wait for the popularity to drop off a bit. Game of Life was $6.99 now $3.99 and Monopoly was $9.99 now $4.99.
Patience is the key.
auctioneero Feb 16, 2012 at 11:24 am

dadathepanda Feb 16, 2012 at 11:30 am

garrett1972 Feb 16, 2012 at 1:29 pm
Same here - shows 4.99 on the newest apps screen, but 6.99 when I choose it to download. What is going on?
ryanlrobinson Feb 16, 2012 at 3:31 pm
These happen occasionally and I've never heard an explanation for why...
sk8er_tor Feb 16, 2012 at 11:38 am
Glad to see all the EA games. They're all high quality games. Nicely done.
lonnieo Feb 16, 2012 at 11:39 am

Douglasfx Feb 16, 2012 at 11:44 am
I have never seen this game but I will check it out on youtube and if I like it I will definitely get it :)
Douglasfx Feb 16, 2012 at 11:58 am
Is this game more addictive than angry birds???
csantoss Feb 16, 2012 at 11:59 am
depends on what you like, but it is definitely fun!
cjterminator Feb 16, 2012 at 12:00 pm
Yes definitely. These zombies won't stop coming at u :)
gord888 Feb 16, 2012 at 12:22 pm
more than likely. there's more gameplay variation and depth... but i guess compared to angry birds, that isn't saying much.
sirpaul896 Feb 16, 2012 at 1:13 pm
Angry Birds you get tired of quickly. This game is extremely fun and worth the $7 for sure.
BassonCJ Feb 16, 2012 at 11:51 am
Not available on your current device profile??! Anyone know what this means ?
f1mx Feb 16, 2012 at 12:46 pm
oh you basically answered my question. Means you'll have to wait some time. Your country's not eligible for the game
bbqkid8 Feb 16, 2012 at 12:09 pm
Downloading now! $6.99 is peanuts :P
f1mx Feb 16, 2012 at 12:45 pm
anyone know if america latina is going to get this one? I suffered for not having monopoly as early as other people :/
morpho4444 Feb 16, 2012 at 1:19 pm
Man Im from Mexico.. I got monopoly by connecting the playbook to a VPN in US from here in Mexico.
Plants vs zombies is available for Mexico also without any special stuff.. go ahead check it out.
grumpa Feb 16, 2012 at 1:30 pm
Interesting that it's $4.99 on the featured page but $6.99 when you click on it. I did a search for "zombie" and of course it showed up for $4.99 and when I click on it it's $4.99. Went to purchase and it came up as $6.99 :(
I'll wait, already finished it on the laptop

We have been waiting to hear an official date for OS 2.0 a really long time from BlackBerry or a RIM employee. Ever since the first whispers of a date were published, it's all been speculation. Today though we got some official RIM confirmation. At the Developing Native Games with the BlackBerry NDK 2.0 Webcast today, Angel Aldana, RIM Manager (Latin America Alliances), confirmed the official date of PlayBook's OS 2.0 launch to be... Tuesday, February 21st! Barring any setbacks, we will have a shiny new OS on our PlayBooks in about 5 days! This is awesome.
cycomyk Feb 16, 2012 at 5:36 pm
same thing for me, 4.99 on the featured page, checking will give you 6.99 plus tax, i think i'm gon wait for that drop to 4.99, good game though, finished it but want to play it again on the gorgeous screen of my playbook
cycomyk Feb 16, 2012 at 6:49 pm
