While the cheapest hardware keyboard handset in the BlackBerry 10 family - the Q5 - may have been on sale in Dubai for some time it is only now that it appears that the pink version is available. The black Q5 can be picked up from a whole bunch of retailers, whereas the white variant from only two currently.

It seems that it is Carrefour that are stocking the pink BlackBerry Q5 and it's priced at 1,499AED - which is actually a bit cheaper than here in the UK. Clearly the pink Q5 won't be for everyone but it may well appeal to the fine ladies in Dubai.

Are you in Dubai and would pick up the pink BlackBerry Q5? Sound off in the comments.

Thanks to forum member mttomas for the heads up

Let's just hope that the paint job is better quality that the terrible red... matt finishes seem to be much better on the Q5.

Haha! You still have hope it seems. I waited for that from T-Mobile a while, then went the leak route. Now even if they were to release 10.2.0.x, that would be no good for me (having spent some time on 10.2.1.x).

If you to say you're a guy, you likely aren't a guy. Sorry I confused this forum with chat forums where people claim to be women. ;-)

What's wrong with sporting the official T-Mobile colors?

;-) a bit "qweird" for sure but not objectionable. Each to their own. I'd have no probs with it, maybe I could even get my wife on querty....

Good marketing thing, hope it sells

Zzzzwiped from a Zedevice....

Blackberry should re-release the Q5 with as five or six different summer colours... I have the Z10 but my woman wants either a yellow or pink Q5 here in South Africa...

I think the Q5 should never have been made. At least, I think it shouldn't have been made like this. It looks cheap as hell, and is an embarrassment to BlackBerry 10 in my opinion. The Q10 and Z10 look great, as does the Z30 of course, but anyone who has actually held a Q5 in their hands whilst sober will tell you that the plastic looks as cheap as the microwavable dish that comes with ready-made lasagna. I was shocked at how awful the Q5 quality is was I first saw it. God knows what BlackBerry were thinking.

The iPhone 5C sells like candy, with similar build quality. Q5 is designed for the same market. No advertising = no sales!

The BlackBerry Q5 while made of plastic is a high-quality smartphone. I dropped my BlackBerry Q5 twice and it remains in pristine condition. In terms of weight it is comparable to my BlackBerry Bold 9700/9780 made of metal.

Sorry, but you are massively exaggerating! The plastic used on the Q5 is of a very high quality. Use one for a while to get a real opinion.

It has been AED 1499 since launch here in the UAE, which is 410$ in US. The offer now is that it is available for AED 1499 and you get a carrefour gift voucher of AED 350. The gift voucher value in USD is 96$. So if you consider it as a discount then yes you get the Q5 for a discounted price of USD 315. But you do have to use the 96$ on purchasing something else.

In addition to all that, the main network provider Etisalat is providing 6 months social service (BBM, FB, TWITTER & WHATSAPP) for free on purchase of any BB10 device.

Here in Belgium they are selling the Q5 from 200-350€ only white and black version. At 200€ it's a good deal but currently you will have to search for hours before finding one at this price, most of the time it's priced at 300 or more, whereas the Z10 can be found for 250-300€ it's just not reasonable to price the Q5 with such a high price tag
Furthermore they should have released the Q5 around the world in the 4 colors at launch and put them to show in the biggest shopping malls. The nice color variants would have been noticed right away. I see this with the iPhone 5C, they are displayed in the 4 color variants and although I dislike thr iPhone 5C it looks great to see cheerful colors ! BlackBerry could have give an option for those young people who wanted colorful smartphones at a reasonable price tag (half of the price of the iPhone 5C at least)

I for the matter would have loved to have the possibility to buy a red BlackBerry Q5 !

Pink shirts and a great tan ,hard to beat on a golf course ,I have 2 and feel special in pink, not so special as to carry a pink phone though.haha lol

Here in the DC Metro area I have yet to see or feel a Q5. This pink one would definitely do the job of getting my wife to switch.

Q5 = 320euro and Nexus 5 is 89 euro more, now compare this two mobile phones . It is a difference same a Volkswagen and a Ferrari, lol

Everyone is always trying to be politically correct. There's no sexist intent in the title at all. A large portion of men will not use this device and that's simply the truth. The pink phone is intended to be a 'female device'. It's okay to say for the ladies without always thinking in some type of negative undertone in an attempt to be politically correct

Don't open up that box... We should agree, that no color has a gender and therefore in an open minded society ideally men and women don't prefer specific colors. It's only a matter of taste.

A sexist headline if ever I read a headline. But hey it's Dubai so we must be culturally-sensitive. Meanwhile, CrackBerry editors need sensationalist low-brow headlines to garner page clicks. Yay!

It's long overdue. BlackBerry should make the pink Q5 available worldwide and promote it with the 'Pink for Breast Cancer' fund-raising campaign by donating a certain amount, say $5, for every pink Q5 sold.

I do like this phone and wish it was available in North America. Although the Q5 is the "budget" BlackBerry 10 mobile, it seems to be the most expensive to buy!

What os the delay rolling this out. Color is a differentiator - how hard is it to roll out 5000 in canada.

I'm using the black one and I love it!!! I used to have the 9320. And this one is just great. Only thing that sucks is the battery life...

I think coloured Q5's have a better chance at being big sellers than the plain black ones.

Sent from my BlackBerry Z30

I can see tons of women snapping them up,BB should donate a couple of bucks per device to the cancer institute ,if a woman buys one and wishes to take advantage of BB's generosity,Good PR.So easy !!!.

Wow! I think someone needs to take Alicia Keys spot as creative global director!

For the working class lady! I dig it! Reminds me of Legally Blond.

I use the black one professionally. It's robust + I can send a message with my working gloves on. At my view the Q5 is overpriced, max 200€ would be a better price. Now the retailers are selling the device in Belgium at +-300 euro, to much. There is a need to re-price all the BlackBerry10 devices. Also the idea to re-brand the BlackBerry10 device's is good.

now you know why the sales of Q5 have been disappointing. For a bit more money you can buy a Z10. Boy do they need to figure out their pricing strategy and soon!
