It is no secret that since its original inception on the BlackBerry PlayBook I made use of PillPad to keep track of my Mother's different medications for her various health issues. PillPad is an important tool for juggling, managing, and scheduling refills for your prescriptions. The changes in this latest revision are minor improvements to performance and a new password protection option.

V2.0.1.15 change log

  • Added – Password Protection. Now you can choose to either have the app password protected or not. This feature will come in handy for those that let others play on their phones, yet will keep snooping eyes away from your personal information.
  • Updated – 'About Us' and 'Help'
  • Fix various bug fixes and clean up

Throughout the many variations of this application the goal of documenting and storing a list of your medications remains the same. Having cared for a person for years I understand how there are times it is not always possible to rely on memory alone to keep up with them. PillPad has always ameliorated the situation to ensure that nothing was forgotten and to have a list handy to present to a new physician.

Normally priced at $1.99 for BlackBerry 10, the developer has graciously decided to give away 100 free copies. In order to take advantage of this offer, simply go into BlackBerry World, swipe down from the top, select "Redeem" and then enter in this code: PillPadFree. Remember, only the first 100 to use this promo code will get a free copy of the application. Offer ends when all 100 codes are used or July 31, 2014.

What's your problem with the word first in his sentence? It's not like he just said first.
Oh yeah, you are the the head of the first police department! My apologies Sheriff First.

Lol so true.

This 'dance' is getting old. Let people enjoy the small things in life. If it makes them happy so be it -whether intentional or not. I think the more attn it gets the more it's happening...imo anyway.

When you're living in your Mom's basement ( slowbroze ) watching life pass you by, your only perk in life is to jump all over 'first' posters.

lol best part is, no said anything about first... you guys just assumed that, which makes you guys laughable...

#2, 93Aero, unlike you, I have a woman that I'm engaged to, and live with her, not my mom, and I do so called live in the basement, when you have $15,000 worth of stereo equipment, it's a man cave ;)

That's sweet; calling your right hand a woman and your Creative speakers a $15000 system.

pretty big insults from a puke sitting behind a phone keyboard... I bet you would cower away from me if we had this discussion face to face...

He's REALLY defensive about his AWESOME basement...he's let it be known before about how his basement is the Taj Mahal of basements.(Now we find out it isn't even his basement...it's his girlfriend's...wow-more pathetic.)

When the "First Commandant of the COPS" gets challenged, he ALWAYS seems to throw down his "Basement Trump Card"...I'm just wondering if the basement has a life-size velvet mural of "Dogs Playing Poker"---now that would be pretty awesome!!!

If he...cough...owned said basement.

Basements...the dwellings of champions.

Ok nice pics but how odd that they were posted a few minutes ago. The timing of these comments in relation to this post on your basement project seems a little odd to me.

I have a similar set up in my house and quite enjoy having a 120" screen in the house. I have a spare projector and set up a much larger screen for out door movies in the summer.

Ps: i think you are over using the word "fiance ". Comes off pretentious.

Why???...would I EVER look at pictures of your OR anyone's basement that I don't know personally...boring or the possibility of a disturbing image---"Not Gonna Happen".

Changing a Bart Simpson line a bit..."You don't make friends with basements, you don't make friends with basements".

Sorry to say and maybe I'm missing out on something special and maybe I'm being too highbrow, BUT basement talk is BENEATH me.

^ You guys amaze, well, amuse me. :-)

It's never gonna stop. Literally LOL-ing here...

+1! I don't come to the comments section to read the "first" post and all the useless comments that have absolutely nothing to do with the article!

I actually got a copy in time.

First time for me:).

A slow climb to the top is always more rewarding. Sent using my BlackBerry Z10.

I was tempted to download it as I think it's a great idea. But I don't need it, so I'll leave that for the people that can make use of it. The problem is my in-laws don't know how to use a smartphone!

Agreed! My grandfather has to take a lot of different medications every day, but I don't see him every day, so this app doesn't apply to me. I'm glad the dev was generous enough to give away copies though =)

I missed the free copies but downloaded a purchased copy. Looks very useful for its modest asking price and we need to support our BB10 developer community!

Love a free copy. If it is that good might have to have my wife and mother buy a copy.

Damn it was going to use the free one as a chance to how it would work for reminding to take my different vitamins, protein shakes etc throughout the day. Sure went fast!

Posted via CB10

Missed the free copies so I purchased it-looks interesting.im on 12 meds a day (2 heart attacks, diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis) so keeping track of them is truly a pita. Every time I go to the docs I take my prescriptions in a bag so I don't miss listing one. Look forward to not carrying a huge bag of pills to my next doctor appointment...
With this app I'll keep refills straight too. Thanks for the nice work and support of the blackberry community!
