PhoneFusion Brings Fusion Voicemail Plus to BlackBerry
The Boy Genius has posted about Fusion Voicemail Plus finally getting a BlackBerry beta. The impressive little app allows you to link all your myriad phone numbers to one voicemail box, which is then displayed graphically on your BB. It shows you the name and number of the caller as well as which number they were calling. Plus, it comes in at the low low price of free so you can't really go wrong. You can head over to their website to sign up for the beta.

Why can't we have this kind of service over here in Europe? It makes me wonder if I should move over to the States, so I can use my Blackberry properly! :)

I love this app. I think its great

This application would be perfect if we didn't have to call fwd-no answer to their #. Sprint charges $.20 per minute....that may not sound like a lot, but if you get tons of messages like me, then it gets costly. It would be nice if the app could be used w/out the fwd'ing....but it is a cool app for those who don't have that concern.

Hi there - I noticed your post about Sprint charging .20 cpm. I called Sprint's customer service and was told that there is no charge for "conditional" call forwarding. I wold be happy to assist in a conf call with them for you if you'd like! Give us a call if you would like our assistance, we are here to help! - Regards, PhoneFusion!

I contacted Sprint (877-349-4413) twice and they do not offer 'conditional' call forwarding. They only offer 'call forwarding' for $.20 per minute. :-(

How does this compare to youmail.com's free service?
Bianca Hennngs Jun 25, 2008 at 12:30 pm
Fusion Voicemail Plus forwards voicemail from all of your phones, not just from your cell phone voicemail, to one location. Messages appear on the screen of your mobile device with the phone number and length of message (regardless of whether the caller is in your phone book), and you can choose to listen to those messages in any order you choose. I am here to help so feel free to contact me with any other questions you may have!!! Enjoy the app, it rocks!

"youmail" is only available in the U.S. and they offer a few more features.
Does anyone know if Rogers charges for call forwarding to do this?
Also why is there data usage for using this service?
Bianca Hennings Jun 25, 2008 at 12:40 pm
Hi there - given that our service uses a browser to retrieve and deliver your messages is why there is data usage. We are here to help so if you have any questions at all or need our help in any way, please feel free to contact us via support@phonefusion.com!

Does anyone know if I can receive the notifications via email instead of SMS. I have unlimited free email, but limited SMS on my plan.
Bianca Hennings Jun 25, 2008 at 12:32 pm
Hi there - my name is Bianca and I'm an Exec @ PhoneFusion. The BlackBerry version of this app sends an html mail, NOT an SMS so you should be good to go! If you have any problems, please email us to support@phonefusion.com and we would be happy to help in any way we can! Enjoy the service!

I would like to try the service but of course SunCom is never added to any application. SunCom needs to be considered...I guess its a "Southern Thing".

The purchase of SunCom by T-Mobile is already "official". My belief is that the re-branding will begin in August, so this problem will be short lived @ this point.
Welcome to the big pink T!!!
