In this day and age we are all security conscious and our information. That was why, not too long ago, we told you about an application that allowed users to exchanged encrypted messages with your contacts or decrypt messages sent to you. Based on OpenPGP data encryption method, PGpgp safeguards your text and email communications using a private and public key.

Recently, the developer released a minor update containing two features asked for by users.

However, as you could infer from the title, the developer has decided to offer 50 free copies of his application for free to CrackBerry readers. PGpgp will cost you $2.99 in BlackBerry World but with the promotion code listed below you can enjoy it free of charge.

Features added in v1.5.1.2

  • Now you need to know private key password to export the private part
  • The information about the application/version is removed from the generated PGP block (the block is more anonymous)

To get your copy for free before supplies run out, simply follow these instructions.

  • Launch BlackBerry World
  • Swipe down from the top and select Redeem
  • Enter in this code: PGPGP4CB

PGpgp supports all BlackBerry 10 handsets and having an extra layer of security on your device is always welcome.

I'm a big nobody then.
And also loving the inching towards PGP for the masses.

+50

Said number is pretty sad. Doesn't get anywhere, more like a tease... anyway, let's be thankful for those who got a copy.

 BlackBerry? I premdict the future's gonna be chenomenal! 

This app looks interesting. Using PGP has always been tedious.
On a lighter note...
It's almost like getting one of these is the new "first" challenge lol. I can't wait to see someone like Quicksilver dude complain about ppl saying they got their free copy lol.

It should be timed limited (like 1 hour) instead of a limited amount of copies. I don't understand dev's rational here. They do want to advertise and show how good their app is don't they?

He /she got a post in CrackBerry as advertising. The cost is: foregone potential revenue on the free copies allotted The benefit is: I (and lots more Crackberry addicts) now know about the app, even though I (we) didn't get a free copy, I know what it is and I can check it out in BB World. Beautiful, simple model.

This is one I'm sorry I missed for sure.

A slow climb to the top is always more rewarding. Sent using my BlackBerry Z10.

Half the time..i see "copies up for grabs" ..scan for redeem code...to BB world to see its all done...then back to read the article. just me?

Nope, but with this one and more to come I will see if I need it, except if it's 1000+ but with our nation here any promo will be gone before you actually see if need it

White Z10 10.2.2.1531

It no surprise that I missed this one I had missed 1000 copies of yesterday one after 30 minutes

My first BlackBerry Z10 (wall hugger) will soon be replaced by its successor Z20

The free copies are all gone before a person reads the articles to see if it is indeed something that would be of benefit to one.

From the reviews, it seems one still has to c/p into the app...given the lousy c/p ability we have, i'll wait till there is seamless integration with the e-mail app.

PGP...used to use it on my blindingly fast (sarc off), 386... Waaaay back when..lol.

Via what's really, a BOLD X....on X.II.I
