Lucas let me know that PBA Bowling 2 is on sale for $2.99 until July 25th. The OpenGL game which was originally only available for the Storm2 is also now available for both the Curve 8530 and Bold 9650. PBA Bowling 2 is one of the few games to take advantage of OpenGL support on these devices and is definitely worth checking out. There are multiple game modes available including tournament and regular game, various difficulty levels and more. From now through July 25th you can grab it for just $2.99 (40% off) in the CrackBerry App Store.

Why its available only for cdma devices? 9700 has more power than 8530 so why i cant play on my Bold?

It's not power you need, but OpenGL support, which your 9700 does not have. :( I originally had this game on my Storm2, but now I'm rocking it on my Bold 9650!

I hope the 9800 will be OpenGL. I wonder why CDMA Qualcomm chipsets support OpenGL but not GSM Marvel chips. Hopefully this changes with the 9800.

How about a contest for some giveaways........

Has anybody experienced SLOWER game play with the recent upgrade? Before I upgraded, it would act "funny" at times, but the game play was smooth and fast for the most part. After the upgrade, I don't have anymore "lockups" but I feel like I am playing in quick sand; it seems to take forever between frames.
