Hi,

what do you think about the already installed password-safe on the berrys since (I think) 8700er?

This safe also using an AES encryption I read.

Regards,

Unless they changed it, the password vault that came with my Blackberry had no PC or Mac application to sync with, therefore no easily-readable backup. It's much easier to enter this stuff on the PC, print when needed, cut and paste to web browser. It's doable and necessary on the Blackberry, but not my preference when I'm on my PC or Mac (I use PC at work and Mac at home).

My old laptop has died and a new one purchased. The old machine had Datavault installed to sync with my BB 8520.
I have all of the Datavault content on my BB but now need to replace the desktop software and retrieve the entries from my BB.
I have my original order number and activation code...the question is...can I reload the PC software without having to purchase Datavault again....or...if I do purchase Datavault again, will I retain the information held in the Datavault section of my BB?
