Works great on my Storm with Verizon. Much better than that shitty Slacker program (I hate Slacker). Pandora is by far the best internet radio program out there!

BTW did anyone see that little boy review the Niagra 9630 the other day? That was terrible.

I think his balls need to drop before he gets a BlackBerry. What is this kid going to need a BB for anyway? Make fart noises in his 5th grade history class?

You need to change your BB configuration to blackberry. You probably have it set as firefox or IE. In the browser, go to options and browser configuration. Select browser identification as blackberry. Click the link from the text message and it should load up a mobile pandora site with the download link.

I've tried slacker radio and iheartradio, this Pandora app is by FAR the best one. It' so simple and clean, easy to use, and a lot faster than the other apps.

in order to download you must goto your browser configuration and change it to blackberry, and then you should see the download link.

After all this hype the pp's really not that great. Songs restart if a message is received while listening to them, and you actually have to go into the app in order to pause or skip a song instead of just using the convenience keys... Plus slackers caching of stations is a pretty sweet feature. I love Pandora for the PC but i think i'll stick with slacker for the Storm.

Pandora kicks ass on my storm,
It loads fast and I love the fact that you can make a playlist.

i downloaded pandora for my tmobile blackberry curve 8320, but I can't seem to get it to work. It downloaded successfully, but when I open it, i get an error message saying "could not connect to Pandora. Please ensure you have sufficient network coverage and try again." The thing is, I always get this message, even when I have full service and all my network bars up.

Anyone know what to do?

I was having the same problem and went through a number of solutions including. I reinstalled, made sure the firewall is turned off, give Pandora full permissions, tried turning off wifi and downloading OTA to install, removed my media card, checked my network settings, wiped my BB and did a fresh OS install, and even went to T-mobile directly to see if something is wromg with my BB. They verified I have the most up to date OS and even showed me a 8320 sitting right next to mine playing Pandora flawlessly!

After about ten tries and many tweaks to try and make it work I was a little frustrated. I really want Pandora to work as I have my favorite stations on there and Slacker is a little boggy on my curve. I just got a reply from a Pandora tech and he suggested this

First, clear the APN:

1. Launch Pandora, and bring up the Diagnostics screen by holding down the "ALT" key and pressing the "SPACE" bar 4 times. Select the "Advanced" button and then select "Clear APN" (or "Reset Pandora" in 1.0.2 or later)
2. Quit Pandora (hit the Blackberry menu key and choose "Shutdown Pandora").
3. Download the latest version of the application from Pandora - Listen to Free Internet Radio, Find New Music[/url] (reboot if prompted)
4. Re-launch Pandora

For T-Mobile

Go to Options -> Advanced Options -> TCP and enter an APN:

APN: wap.voicestream.com
Username: (Leave this field Blank)
Password: (Leave this field Blank)

3) Save info
4) Restart Pandora

If that does not work, please try the following:

APN: internet2.voicestream.com Username: (Leave this field Blank)
Password: (Leave this field Blank)

3) Save info
4) Restart Pandora

If that does not work, please try the following:

APN: epn.tmobile.com
Username: (Leave this field Blank)
Password: (Leave this field Blank)

3) Save info
4) Restart Pandora

This worked for me! I hope this helps others as well to avoid the frustration and massive waste of time. (It seems the primary issue is that there was no APN set in my blackberry for some reason?)

Yey! Was having the same problem and just did step 3 and 4 from "For T-mobile" and it worked! Thanks a lot! :)

I did all of the following which was suggested on the forum (see below), but I still cannot get Pandora to work. When I hold the alt key and click the space bar 4 times, it does not take me to diagnostics. It attempts to open Pandora and then gives me the message "could not connect....ensure you have suffient network coverage..." I have deleted and re-downloaded, but nothing seems to help. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks. Below is the fix that was suggested...

ok, so i downloaded pandora to my verizon storm...it said it uses a lot of data and to contact my service provider..i have the $30 data plan i think--am i going to get charged or whatever..id rather ask on here first than deal with a miserable verizon rep. Thanks

Posted by DixieNormous Tuesday, Apr 14, 2009 1136 days ago

No, I am on the same BlackBerry plan. With BlackBerry you get unlimited data and I was never charged now with my Storm or when I had my Curve. The $30 BlackBerry plan has you covered.

WOW - with this release my Storm has become the single-most-important device I have ever owned. I have Pandora on my iPod Touch, but its limited to my house because of WiFi. Now, I can use my Storm on runs, everywhere to listen to Pandora!!!! HUGE Thanks to Pandora - I was so sad thinking they had forgotten us Storm users.

My only gripe, and it is a annoying one, is the song restarts if receive a message. Slacker does this as well. I like both programs, though my playlist on Pandora is a lot more developed, but I woudl be ectatic if either company coudl come up with a solution. Just a quick beep or somehting and then back tot he song, thats all I ask!!

Other than that Pandora FTW

Posted by L-Swift Wednesday, Apr 15, 2009 1135 days ago

yes they both do this, its annoying. i wish it would just pause it would be better, id rather have to press play again than have it restart.

i have found the only solution is to put the phone on silent.

Oh thank heaven its about time, i have been using the regular one on the internet while working in the shop now i dont have to haul my laptop out there anymore i can just use my Storm. I believe Pandora to be one of the best music programs out there.

I love it. Pandora + iHeartRadio= Heaven on my Storm!

Well this blows away Slacker and Iheartradio. I LOVE it.

My only issue, and it's a teeny one, is that I can't actually get it quiet enough. I listen in my office and if I try to lower the volume to a reasonable level, it goes to mute.

Oh well, I guess I'll close my door.

Thanks Pandora !!

Was a big fan of Slacker on the Storm, but Pandora is muchhhh better. Loving it already! Would definitely like to see them adopt the cached stations, though, would love to be able to listen to Pandora on the subway.

Well, Pandora’s Storm app is disappointing, to say the least.

1. Audio quality is terrible (Mono?).

2. No review, artist info or any other details.

3. Can't cache stations

4. Repeats songs a lot. I started a station I created earlier in the day and it played the same songs in the same order.

IMHO, the Slacker Radio app is a far superior. Sound quality is way better, they play better songs and you can cache stations which saves battery and doesn’t require a network connection.

Also, Slacker seems to have a deeper library of music and doesn’t repeat songs nearly as much.

Sorry Pandora, but you’re a bit late to this BlackBerry party and this app is a pretty weak offering for a phone as nice as the Storm. Maybe, if you cared as much about BlackBerry as you do about Apple, we'd have a decent app, but, apparently, you don't. I’ll stick with Slacker.

It's a great program, but I'm running it on the 9530 and have a few complaints. Again, the song restarts if a message is received, and I've been having a problem where the program will just stop playing the song. Maybe change it so that the music is buffered?

Sticking with Slacker for the caching, the heart/ban, and the better comedy selection.

I was waiting for Pandora to work on the storm and when it finally worked I downloaded it. I went to play my station and only one song would play and then it would stop. I would have to close the app and reopen it to play a new song.

The fix, all I had to do was reboot my storm and it worked great after that.
