Leaked: OS 5.0.0.321 for the BlackBerry Bold 9700

Bold 9700

We can't really call this a leak, then again we can't call it official, but OS 5.0.0.321 for the Bold 9700 is indeed available for download. The download link popped up in the forums, so get it while its hot. This is the OS that will be installed on the Rogers devices, but its not available on their site just yet. If you're looking to get ahead of the game while you wait for your new toy to arrive, then go grab it!

I have a Blackberry 9700, T-Mobile edition and it has v5.0.0.330 so not sure how advanced this is, if it had a lower number than the T-Mobile version.

Why would it? You're talking about applying an OS from a non touch screen device to a touch screen device. Let me know how that works for you.

Ok I'm a owner of a bb curve 8310 got it chritsmas( waitin to get a 9700 AT&T ) along with my iPod touch which I am on now I'm my algebra class on my touch. But a few things tht rim could add as a software update is
1.) like the iPhone and the palm phone, it would be great if the added the feature that tells u that u have a text and wat it says while ur browsing the web or listening to music or on a phone call ect.. I kinda get tired of backing out of what u was doing to go to my text...
2.) I'm not sure if the 5.0 software dies this or not but " conversation view " another feature the iPhone and palms have. Tht would be nice for both texting and email...
3.) for the mstorm and possible thunder. For u to be able to lock the click screen and not click it, to just let u be able to tap away at the screen like u do on a iPhone
copy and paste this to other comments and add ur sugestions btw i'm 15 :). These are some great features if u have any thoughts please do tell...

Why would we copy and paste this anywhere? Does your iPhone not have that capability? :)
And what is the thunder? Why would you want to be able to beat away at your screen?
The new 5.0 does have threaded sms. There are some 3rd party apps you can download so that it gives a popup of a new message. peekawho is one. Make a post in the 3rd party apps forum if you have more questions. you'll get more responses than putting a random, irrelevant post on a blog topic.

i think that upgrading your OS fucks everything up. on my storm it just made the OS slower than the original OS and everyone i talk to that didnt update their OS had no problems with their phones

Correct, because .65 ran Soooo much faster last year than anything after it on my Storm1 numbers 1-2-3 and 4..
