Our friend Marcus over at BlackBerryWorld.eu just let us know that Vodafone Greece has officially released OS 4.7.0.100 for the BlackBerry Storm 9530. I guess this is already considered 'old' seeing as 4.7.0.106 for the 9500 has already leaked, but for those of you waiting for an official update for your Vodafone Storm, this is it!
Come on Verizon now its your turn dammit... were waiting!!!!

I almost peed my pants when I saw this and thought... IN GREECE! I had to go to a Vzw corporate store last night for my son.. and the rep said SIX MONTHS for an official OS update from VZW. I hope he was joking!
This just leads me to think that an offical Verizon OS will be out. BETTER HURRY LOL

He may have been joking to himself, in which case he assumes you are stupid. Or he himself had no knowledge of the subject and just guessed to sound smart. Either way that guy should be fired.
Let's get on it, Verizon. I need a new set of glitches to annoy me.
I keep thinking about Verizon's Storm commercial...the one where the guy is playing with the phone (simulated, of course) and he says how it feels so "right." Yeah, right. False advertising has never felt so wrong...
I just keep waiting for the day I can be happy about dropping T-Mobile and my Curve. I'd really love a phone that actually does what its supposed to do...even for a day...give me just one day I don't have to curse the thing out...

They had no idea when any kind of OS update will be released over here...no suprises there then.
In fact when I explained that I had been on this thing called the Internet and found leaked versions way ahead of .78 as well as Vodafone Greece having released .100 she actually said to me - "Well it sounds like you definitely know more than I could do on this !" - talk about dismall customer service!
Question for the boffins though - will this version work ok on a UK Vodafone 9500??

Pheeeew I'm downloading the software as I write this, and boy oh boy it's taking FOREVER! Seems like the rest of the planet is doing the same! My download speed is, wait for it, 12 Kb/second....I wonder just where I am in the queue?
Can any intelligent life out there tell me if this will work on my Storm 9500?

the .100 has not been released by Vodafone Netherlands yet
I wish they would provide great tech support for the storm. This thing crashed everyday and I am running .75. Would this os update work with Verizon?
I downloaded the 116MB file and will try to do the install as soon as I get home. I'll let you know how it comes out. (running the newest .90 software which is considerably better than the .75)

it does work !!!
for some reason i had some problems with the DM but i think this was a PC error on my side. But after the install it feels very good.
