What a great way to end the weekend. First our pal BB397 delivered the goods for the Storm 9530 with OS 4.7.0.85, and now he's come through for BlackBerry Bold users with version OS 4.6.0.217! I just loaded it onto my BlackBerry Bold, now returned home from the Smartphone Round Robin, and it seems to be running smooth. But I've been out of touch on the Bold OS game for the past month (believe it or not it was still loaded with only OS 4.6.0.167!!) so you'll want to check our .217 thread for the latest performance findings. Keep in mind this is not an official release, so install at your own risk and only if you are comfortable in doing so. Remember, if you every monkey things up you can always fix it via these instructions. Follow the links below and enjoy the latest and (hopefully) greatest OS!

Progress are so fast lately, it should be the clear sign that next final release is close. Hopefully.

Each update typically has incremental bug fixes, most of which the average user will never notice.
if no one else appreciates the updates, I certainly do
I like knowing that RIM cares enough to keep working on the products and supporting our favorite devices. :)
My battery life has been MUCH better since .210. Latest update .217 appears to have helped my internet downloads, appearing much quicker to me.
