Official OS for BlackBerry Curve 9310, Curve 9350/70, and Torch 9850 released by Bluegrass Cellular

I'm running OS5 on my Storm 2; I've learned not to update anything unless I have to or there is a demonstrable benefit. If it ain't broke, I don't fix it. I've been burned more than once with app updates that didn't work and caused crashes, like Foursquare, App World, Twitter.

Updated my 9850 with this the other day. OS works great, no complaints at all, my phone is even turning on faster.

on Manage connections the "all off" button has been moved to the left

You can now change the led color for contacts and so on, just go to your contact and edit the look for visual notifications

And the music glitch is now more invasive, it automatically does it to me instead of when it used to do so when I would pause the song (but honestly I like the glitch, it makes the music louder)

These are finding of mine but the list may be bigger

this is a solid build w/ good upgrades,,, it freed up 8MB of space for me & others have reported 5MB,,, don't fear the unknown,,, look it in the eye & say,"Come to Daddy"...

I have the Torch 9850 for Verizon. I am running the 7.0 update. Only because any update after 7.0 ruined my speaker phone loudness to where it was not usable. So, I downgraded for now until they BB fixes it.

Does anybody know if the speaker phone is working now with this new OS

Please reply here or message me. Many thanks.

I'm running v7.1.0.755. When I try to upgrade to .861 via apploader (vendor.xml removed), there is no change in the OS. When I look at the files, everything is from 9/2012. Am I not deleting something? I have never had this issue with any previous upgrade. Any and all guidance would be appreciated.

I'm getting the same thing. Was going to load it up just to play around with, but oh well. I've got a new Z10 to keep me happy. Thinking about passing my 9850 off to a friend.

This may be off topic, but what is your impression of the Z10 after migrating from the 9850? I'm always wondering about my next device. Thanks.

I love the Z10. I'm going to miss a lot of my apps on the 9850, though, and hope they will eventually make their way to the Z10. To be honest, I miss using my 9850; not because the Z10 has any problems, but because I am fond of the 9850. It feels great in the hand. OS7 was snappy and reliable on it; which, btw, I was able to finally successfully load the leak. Overall, I was never unhappy with the 9850. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it wasn't called the Storm3. :)

The Z10 is a totally different animal. It's fast, but I haven't noticed it being appreciably faster than my 9850 for my typical uses. It's faster, for sure, but not mind-blowingly so. There's definitely a bit of a learning curve, but it's easy to get used to in just a few minutes. It's nice that it can run Android apps, but I find that they are just as buggy and laggy as running them on the PlayBook, especially sideloaded apps. I do love that I was able to convert my wife from her iPhone 4 to the Z10! We can do video chat on BBM, and just yesterday we used the screen share feature so I could show her how to recover her contacts after I loaded the latest leak to her Z10. Hub is more hype than substance but still a neat feature. I also love the shadowy veil effect when waking it up. And the compass app flat out rocks! You gotta see it. I like the animations of the calculator app, too, but I think they took them away in 10.1. :(

Anyway, I'm rambling now. I'll end with saying you will not be disappointed with the switch, but you will miss your 9850 like missing an old friend.
