Hey-Did everybody say screw it on updates to the 9850? I mean even the new curve has a much better leak then the 9850.Dawm. :(

exactly i have the 9850 as well and the speaker phone volume has been decreased as I been hoping for an update since the 7.1 os ruined my phone. and it was a official release. RIM/Verizon have no shown any indication for a fix as I have delt with this bull crap for the last 7 months since the release of the 7.1 update which needs to be re updated NOW!

all 9850 mondels or torches have been plagued with this bull crap and they havent shown any thought to resolve it while i paid alot for this phone and the speaker phone is pretty much useless currently and this is my 2nd phone of the same model. so its a bug in the 7.1 os. not the phone itself. also proof it was a bug because the 9850 never had a problem until the 7.1 os...blackberry needs to make it happen asap man.

is this 391 or 569????
mssca Jul 12, 2012 at 7:47 pm
It is 569 so it is even newer than the Bold 9900 523 I guess.

There are reports of the dreaded AT&T "mic issue" with this OS (as on all OS's past .391). :(

Wow, the OS caused the voice issue on the 9810? I had two users complain to me about the same issue with the latest leaked OS. Thanks Tsells

I have held this phone at the ATT store a couple times. Thought it was a great phone. My Pre3 blows it out of the water though. I really liked the hardware!!

I'm getting no sound whatsoever (in or out) on some calls...
How come this is called an upgrade?

Its funny hearing people mention mic issues! I have been having mic issues for the last while as well. I am currently on the official Rogers 7.1.0.391. I heard some people in the forums say they think it is only an AT&T thing, but it looks like it could be a device+OS issue and not a carrier issue (since I'm not with AT&T, but Rogers Wireless in Canada).
Specifically my issues are that often the person on the other end doesn't hear me, or I don't hear them (phone says it connected, then silence), or I can hear my own voice echo, or the people on the other end hear me super-quietly if I call them, then goes away if they call me back. Weird stuff. Seems very recent. I'm making a guess, but it appears to have coincided with jump to .3xx + series OS's. But I don't know for sure (so take with a big grain of salt).
I'm also getting CRAZY phantom lag now :(
Phantom lag is when the phone freeze for about 5-10 seconds without any clock appearing. I hate it!
If its an issue with .3x - .5x OS's, I'm going to switch back to OS .267. The link to the 267 article is

on crackberry.com
Will report back if .267 seems to alleviate these issues.

Why can't I find an English download page?
