Cellcom US has officially released OS 7.1.0.342 for the BlackBerry Bold 9930. While this is an official release, remember to use caution when updating your device. Great OS, running on my verizon 9930

I'm a Cellcom customer, was able to download and install to my 9930 without major issue. I have had bad luck with OS updated in the past so this is quite the relief. BeWeather wasn't updating, but after a soft reset it is back and running.

This is pretty impressive for a small/regional carrier to have one of the latest updates. In the past they have been quite behind with update. Lately they have been quite progressive: 4G LTE, iPhone, etc.

Still not clear on what was updated/what changed, nothing visible at first glance. I look forward to following the forum to see what is new. So far MUCH better than the Play Book update that took away predictive text and spell check suggestions in bridge mode!

I will work on the Verizon 9930. Just remove the vendor files.

Clean installed it on my Sprint 9930 yesterday, no issues but I don't see a difference from the last update I had with sprint.

I don't see a real need to update to this, unless you just want to kill an hour or so.

What was the last update you had with Sprint? I have 7.1.0.921, is that the latest? I don't like a small feature that I can't seem to change in the browser.
