Those of you still rocking a BlackBerry Bold 9700 have a new official OS to play with as SK Telecom has released OS 6.0.0.723. Things look good on this one so far, so if you have some downtime this weekend you may want to give it a go. Will this work on the Bold 9650?
ddlax22 Jan 28, 2012 at 4:51 pm
No, this won't work on your playbook. Or your 9900. Or your toaster.

Nice to see old devices being supported. I am yet to see a BB beat the 9700 on os 5 in terms of battery life

There is also a Verizon Bold 9650 update. Nice update! Makes browising on the phone smoother and fixes minor things. Check it out if you have Verizon.

Now if only SK Telecom and RIM would unblock the games section on app world. Both Apple and Android got to unblock their game sections here....so why the hell hasn't RIM? I basically have to travel outside Korea if I want to download any games on my BB and PB. Retarded, eh?

Anyone have any ideas? I have tried to install this update with no luck. My desktop manager keeps telling me I have no updates available. I have deleted old versions. I am currently using OS 706. I have deleted Vendor xml, I have deleted my desktop manager and re-installed it. I have deleted the download and re-installed it and still no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have done software upgrades many times and have not had this much trouble before.

it keeps saying I have another installation in progress!! What do I do?
Mr. Black Jan 30, 2012 at 10:57 pm
FYI, I too had that "FILE NOT FOUND" problem when this article was first published so SK Telecom or RIMM seemed to have pulled that update. But today (31 Jan 2012), the links are all working again. Can be downloaded off the official site.

Weird. I downloaded both the AllLang and the "Asia" version of this firmware and in all cases, Blackberry Desktop manager and AppLoader tell me there's no firmware update for my 9700 available.
I deleted vendor.xml and tried both Desktop manager and loader.exe and loader.exe /NOJVM
Tried being online as well as being offline...
Never had this issue before.
