A little something official for all you Storm 9520 owners out there. Vodafone AUS and Fiji has made OS 5.0.0.497 available for download via their BlackBerry download site. Of course, this is based off a previously leaked version but hey, if you skipped that one maybe the official goodness will tickle your fancy.

WTF...You kicked the 9530 to the corner and gets no real update from VZW. Waiting on the DROID INCREDIBLE
Again search for .497 hybrid on the forums. Its not official but its practically the same thing..
9550 but there is a hybrid out already for 9550 that is the full .497 just search for it on the forums
what are you all complaining about an official update from verizon for? there are leaks and officials for 9550's and 9530's and who cares if it comes from verizon itself? its still is for your models and works.
some of us havent even had a hint of a leak yet...nevermind an official or not

Not for my 9550, but good to see them still coming! People should stop complaining, Telus in Canada for example still hasn't released 5.0 for the 9530! Official or Leak, we should just be happy we know where to get them before most other BB Users..... For that, we thank you Crackberry!

Anyway I'm curious to know has anyone tried this on a Vodafone UK Storm2? The download looks like the non-DRM version.

Essentially, yes. I believe not even the smallest difference to this and the leaked one.
Im unable to load this on my vodafone branded storm 2. Must be the DRM issue.
oh and PS - VZW is the suc_iest bunch of suc_ers whoever suc_ed at suc_ing. Just saying.

What is taking verizon so long, come on verizon even sprint bet us!!!!! When they do release 5.0 it better be good.
This release did not solve the green button issue :(
