Official OS 5.0.0.1049 for the BlackBerry Bold 9000 from Telefonica Spain

It's no OS 6 unfortunately, but it's still an update. Telefonica Spain has released OS 5.0.0.1049 for the BlackBerry Bold 9000. If you're still using this Cadillac device you should give this one a go. I was actually contemplating going back to my Bold 9000 last night, so maybe this will be incentive to fire it up for a few days. No reports in on whats new just yet, so be sure to swing by the forums and let us know. Thanks Jim!

Works good on the 9000 and fixed the volume split problem! Looks like they have a later version of 5 for the 9700. I might try that out also. Waiting for a better official release of 6. The bugs annoyed me and I dropped back to 5 a few days ago.

This is by far the best build. I have been using it since it leaked. Amazing memory stability and battery life. No apparent bugs.

was it telefonica spain. it seems the official release on the blackberry site doesn't match the version number. Guess I'll have a further look into the forums!

I like that they are still releasing os 5 versions for us that can't get 6 on their phones.

Loving the torch tho!

One HUGE problem with this build is you can't install any of the google Apps. This includes Google maps for the 9000. I keep getting a http error 404, so the entire google mobile site is being blocked by this build. so ya this is a HUGE problem!!
