Official BlackBerry Bold 9900 and Torch 9810 release dates confirmed at Rogers

While some people have been able to pick up a BlackBerry Bold 9900 from Rogers today, others have been told that while the devices are in stock, they are not available to sell yet. Rogers has just confirmed via Twitter that the official date is August 10th for the Bold 9900 and August 12 for the Torch 9810. That's right, you can get your shiny new Bold tomorrow on Rogers! So, who's getting one?!

I ordered my Bold 9900 today already on the phone with Rogers.

anyone knows if the new 9810 will still have that atrocious back cover. I'll wait for a white one if thats the case or swap it out using my pwermat battery cover.

The store dummy I saw this past Saturday had that cover. I personally don't like it - it's a combination of both texture and colour. That's what is swaying me to get the 9900.

yes, i saw a store dummy one as well. I was kinda hoping Rim would change it for when it gets to retail. I just hope the white one will be different.

I just called one of the Roger stores.. they said its not out and does not have a release date yet!!
Also on the Rogers.ca website.. it shows that they have 9 blackberry phones to offer.. but when you click on the Blackberry tab.. only 8 phones show up.

*Update: Now the website changed to 7 phones on the blackberry tab and only 7 phones available for viewing after clicking on the tab..

I just picked up my 9900 at Rogers Plus at Port Union and Hwy 2 location in Scarborough. They have lots in, and other stores have none. One employee said they have them, only after she heard another employee comment that the phone isn't released until next week... Hey, I'm a happy man! Bought it outright. $622 tazes in.

I dont know WTF is going on with Rogers but I called them today and sent an e-mail to a guy who works in the presidents office for Rogers and they both stated that Rogers has not released the Bold 9900 yet. But then I hear of all theses customers and Kevin got there hands on them threw Rogers.......am I missing something here?
