UK mobile operator O2 has announced new plans for families and those with multiple handsets. Sharer and Family Sharer enables O2 subscribers to share data bundles of up to 8GB across multiple mobile devices attached to a single account. The new plans aren't limited to smartphones either as tablets and other data-connected hardware are all included.
Should you be on the O2 Refresh tariff, you'll need to pay £6 extra per month to share your data allowance across multiple devices. Same with the O2 Family Sharer Plan, which will charge account holders £6 for each new person added to the plan. That charge covers only data, however. Be prepared to fork out £15 a month for texts and calls.
If you're not convinced about the new plans, O2 will throw in a £25 voucher for Frankie & Benny's or Chiquito's when signing up. See the O2 website (link below) for more information on the newly announced plans. Be sure to head to your local O2 store for more details and to see how to upgrade.
