O2

O2 in the UK have announced 'Refresh' - a new 24 month contract that separates the cost of the handset from the cost of calls, SMS and data - and for UK BlackBerry 10 fans you will be pleased to know that the Z10 is included in the range of available smartphones. Why all the fuss you may wonder. The great thing about Refresh is that customers on the new plan can upgrade there phone whenever they want - something that we have not seen offered before.

It works like this - When signing up for O2 Refresh you will effectively be getting a phone plan plus an airtime plan. The cost of doing this is no different to existing contracts which is nice to see. O2 Refresh enables users to pay off the remainder of their Phone Plan and end their Airtime Plan with no termination fee. To make it even more affordable to get the latest smartphone, customers can trade in their old mobile for cash using O2 Recycle, getting up to £260 to put towards their new phone.

Customers will have a choice of three O2 Refresh Airtime Plans, which have been tailored to meet varying call, text and data requirements. For £12 a month, customers get 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 750MB of data; for £17, customers will have unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB of data and for £22 they receive unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 2GB of data.

In todays smartphone market this seems a pretty sweet concept if you ask me - Nobody wants the same phone for two years.

If you are in the UK and looking to pick up a BlackBerry Z10 maybe this new deal from O2 is worth considering? Hit us up in the comments with your thoughts.
