If you are in the UK and are in the market for a new Pay As You Go BlackBerry you may want to consider the Curve 9380 from Orange. I'm not entirely sure when they started selling the touch screen Curve but I have noticed today that it's a cheaper alternative to the BlackBerry Curve 9320.

BlackBerry Torch 9860 and Curve 9380 receive end-of-life dates on TELUS

If you had plans to buy a BlackBerry Torch 9860 or Curve 9380 from TELUS, you may want to do it sooner rather than later. A picture sent in by a CrackBerry reader indicates that these two devices will reach their end-of-life on the Canadian carrier on April 15th and 30th respectively. Both of these devices have been on TELUS less than a year, with the Torch launching last August and the Curve just last November. More than likely TELUS will continue to sell these two devices (as opposed to returning them to RIM), but when stock is depleted it won't be replenished. Bring on the BlackBerry 10 devices! White BlackBerry Bold 9790 and BlackBerry Curve 9380 coming in Q2 of 2012

It should come as no surprise that many people out there like to have their favorite BlackBerry device to be available in multiple colors, especially white. We have already seen most of the current BlackBerry 7 devices launch in white (like the Torch 9810 and Kevin's beloved white BlackBerry Bold 9900) and now they are adding two more devices. Set to launch in the second quarter of 2012, RIM is bringing both the BlackBerry Curve 9380 and the BlackBerry Bold 9790 out in all of their white glory as well. Choice is always a good thing, but so many white devices can't be so good for CrackBerry Kevin's pockets :-)

Visa Certifies BlackBerry smartphones for use as Visa mobile payment devices

Not long ago, the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and Curve 9360 were approved by MasterCard as the world's first SIM-based smartphones to be PayPass Certified. Today, Visa has joined in and approved not only the Bold 9900 and Curve 9360, but the Bold 9790 and Curve 9380 for use as Visa Mobile Payment devices. This is a great example of how NFC can be put to use in a way that will make life easier and more efficient.

In addition to new features like Mobile Hotspot, OS 7.1 will include FM radio. I know, I know ... FM radio?? While it's not the coolest news, it is still pretty neat.

The first touchscreen Curve device has made its way to the UK on the O2 UK network. The recent addition to the Curve family, the BlackBerry Curve 9380 sports a full 3.2 touchscreen and can be seen as the baby brother to the Torch 9860. With BlackBerry 7 and NFC it could be a great gift for Christmas.

The Curve 9380 will cost £79.99 on the lowest tariff and free on all other tariffs. You can also get it on Pay as you go for £249.99.

Three BlackBerry 7 Smartphones arriving in India

BlackBerry 7 devices are coming at us left, right and centre. Today, it has been announced that RIM will be bringing three BlackBerry 7 devices to the Indian market. The BlackBerry Bold 9790, Curve 9380 and the Curve 9350 will be coming to India on 1st December.

The BlackBerry Curve 9350 will be hitting CDMA networks in India so that more customers can avail of these great BlackBerry 7 devices on the network. Krishnadeep Baruah, Director Marketing at RIM says, "We are pleased with the response that the new BlackBerry 7 operating system is receiving from customers in India and we are very excited to introduce these three new BlackBerry 7 based models here".

You can get your mitts on the Curve 9380 and Curve 9350 for Rs 20,990 ($403) and the Bold 9790 for Rs 27.490 ($526). With no news of when it will be coming to the UK, it just shows how big BlackBerry smartphones are in the Asian market with the BlackBerry Bold 9790 arriving this December in time for the Christmas season.

BlackBerry Curve 9380 coming soon to Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4 U

With the BlackBerry Curve 9380 recently being announced, the next step would be to see networks announce when it would be coming to their network. In the UK, so far Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4 U have loaded up the device on their respective coming soon pages. The BlackBerry Curve 9380 is the same size and build as the Curve 9360 but comes will a 3.2in touch screen display. Think of it as the Torch 9860's baby brother. You can see how they compare on Kevin's Curve 9380 video walkthrough.

There are no details as to what networks Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4 U will have the device available on but we should eventually find it all UK networks. Carphone Warehouse states that the Curve 9380 is 'expected' November 2011. Considering we're already nearing the end of November we may be seeing it hit the shelves soon but let's not get our hopes up too much as we all know that these dates can often change. BlackBerry Curve 9380 Hands-On Video Walk Through!

Following up our hands-on walk through of the BlackBerry Bold 9790, I spent some time at BlackBerry headquarters with the first touchscreen in the Curve franchise, the BlackBerry Curve 9380.

The Curve 9380 is clearly the sister of the full qwerty BlackBerry Curve 9360. With both phones lying side by side with fronts facing down, it's difficult to tell which is which. The only noticeable difference is the location of the microUSB port - on the 9380 it's a little lower, centered on the left side of the phone.

The big changes are all up front, with the Curve 9380 scrapping a physical keyboard in favor of a bright 3.2" display delivering a resolution of 480x360 pixels. Otherwise, the tech specs are pretty much on par with the 9360. You can check out the full BlackBerry Curve 9380 specs list here.

Canadian carriers start releasing pricing and dates for the BlackBerry Bold 9790 and Curve 9380

Carriers across Canada are starting to announce when they'll be releasing the newly announced BlackBerry Bold 9790. Yesterday Rogers and TELUS both dropped some information, with Rogers being a bit cryptic and only saying it will be out "just in time for the holiday gift-giving season". TELUS went ahead and posted their pricing info for the Bold, but no date for release yet. You'll be able to buy the 9790 with no contract for $479, or as low as $129 on a 3-year contract with a plan of at least $50.

As for the all touchscreen BlackBerry Curve 9380, TELUS announced pricing coming in at $369.99 off contract or as low as $49.99 with a 3-year contract. Bell threw out that they will be releasing the 9380 on November 28th, but hasn't let any pricing info out as of yet. I'm sure in the near future we'll be finding out a lot more specific information regarding the availability of these new BlackBerry smartphones. With the announcement of both the BlackBerry Curve 9380 and BlackBerry Bold 9790 eariler today, we can expect to see plenty of photos and comparisons of the devices very soon. For now, we have a few quick snaps of the Curve 9380 from the event. These give us a quick look at the size difference between the 9380 and the Torch 9860. You can see the devices are similar in many ways, but the Curve 9380 is a much smaller device. I'm not sure how I feel about the new Curve (or the Bold 9790 for that matter) just yet though. BlackBerry Curve 9380 heading to Telus

It looks like the BlackBerry Curve 9380 will soon be making its way to Telus. According to this Telus flyer, the full touchscreen Curve should be available in the next few weeks. While we're not totally sold on the Curve 9380 (although we do like the front button layout much better than the Torch 9850/9860), it looks like RIM is aiming towards younger and/or first time smartphone users with this one. The Curve 9380 features a full touchscreen display, 800MHz processor, BlackBerry 7 and more. We'll probably see much more of the 9380 across the board fairly soon so stay tuned :-)

RIM unofficially announces the BlackBerry Bold 9790 and Curve 9380 to the World

In an effort to keep BlackBerry Developers in the loop so that they can have their apps compatible for newer devices coming out, RIM has once again unofficially unveiled not-yet-announced devices. For a while now, the BlackBerry Bold 9790 and BlackBerry Curve 9380 have been popping up but nothing official from RIM has been announced about the devices. That said; pretty safe to assume an official announcement will be coming soon, especially with BlackBerry DevCon Americas kicking off in only four days.

Getting back to real intent here -- BlackBerry developers can now download a new set of BlackBerry device simulators to test their apps on including sims for the BlackBerry Bold 9790 and BlackBerry Curve 9380.

RIM outs BlackBerry Bold 9790 and BlackBerry Curve 9380 - device model numbers now showing on BlackBerry App World dev portal

On last week's RIM Earnings call it was noted that more BlackBerry 7 Smartphone Models have yet to be announced and released. On the unofficial/in the wild side we've known for a while about the upcoming BlackBerry Bold 9790 and BlackBerry Curve 9380, and now we have yet another piece of evidence that these two devices should be getting officially announced sooner rather than later. As the image above illustrates, on the BlackBerry App World developer portal the model numbers for the 9380 and 9790 are now both showing up.

Of course we've already seen plenty of stuff leak for these new devices, including a tutorial video, the UAProf document, and hands-on photos of the Bold 9790, which features a narrower form factor than the Bold 9900 which is more 9700/9780 like. The Curve 9380 is the first BlackBerry Curve to sport a full touchscreen and no keyboard, and we've seen it pop up in photos and video already.

BlackBerry Curve 9380 caught on camera once again

The BlackBerry Curve 9380 hasn't exactly been a stranger to the camera. In the past, we've seen some images and even a video or two of this next generation Curve device but it still hasn't been officially announced in any manner. That will come in due time but for now, some new images have popped up over at BGR for us to enjoy.

Specs for this one haven't changed since we first saw it. You're still looking at a 480x360 touchscreen display, 800MHz processor, NFC, 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD and finally, 1GB of internal storage with 512MB of RAM. Some more images can be found past the break for you all but what we want to know is, who the heck beat these devices up so bad? PS: Yes, that's a pre-release Torch 9850/60 sitting next to it, and no -- the buttons are not raised.
