Yesterday we saw O2 UK become the first UK network to update their BlackBerry 7 devices to 7.1. Today, Three UK has followed suit and announced via their Twitter account that they have released the update for the BlackBerry Bold 9900, Curve 9360 and the Torch 9810.

Taking a look at the Three UK BlackBerry downloads page, it seems that the Torch 9810 is for 7.1.0.342, the Curve 9360 is for 7.1.0.336, while the Bold 9900 doesn't look to be showing a 7.1 update yet. So keep checking back as I'm sure it will be there soon.

If you prefer to install official updates then head on to the Three UK download pages and get installing now. Don't forget to backup before you do, even if it is an official update.

If you are a fan of official OS's, and are looking for something new to load on your BlackBerry Curve 9360, you will be happy to know that OS 7.1.0.258 has gained the official stamp. Mobilicity has signed off on this OS and it is now available for your downloading pleasure. If you have a device on Mobilicity all you have to do is hook your device up to Desktop Manager and update. Remember if you are not using a Mobilicity device you will have to delete the vendor.xml file, and there may be a second one. As always, be sure to back up your device before loading this, and proceed with caution.

If you're looking to pick up a new BlackBerry on the cheap but don't really want to grab a basic black version, the Curve 9360 on Rogers now comes in red. Previously, Rogers released the white and black versions but at some point recently they went ahead and added the red version to the mix. Personally, I go out of my way to not buy black devices any more so having a choice in colors is always great.

We reviewed the BlackBerry Curve 9360 when it first came out, and came away pleasantly surprised with its offerings. Right now, Rogers has the BlackBerry Curve 9360 available for only $.01 with a new three-year contract, nice price if you're looking for a cost effective device.

If you have a BlackBerry Curve 9360 Virgin Mobile Canada, you'll want to keep an eye out for system updates come Feb. 23rd. According to the documentation above, Virgin Mobile Canada will be rolling out BlackBerry 7.1 to its customer base. No mention of what version it will be upon release but OS 7.1.0.258 has leaked already so if you're impatient, you can go ahead and load that up or you can just hit that software update button tomorrow.

Note: Bell, who owns Virgin Mobile Canada has already released v7.1.0.219 for the 9360 so Virgin will likely release the same.

Cruising through the BlackBerry experience during BlackBerry DevCon Europe, we came across these sweet colored Curves. The Ballet Pink and Royal Purple Curve 9360 haven't had much press, although they have been seen around a few times before. Nothing fancy going on with either of these, but we always like to see how cool devices look with a splash of color. If you're looking to pick either of these up you may have to wait just a bit until they hit more carriers (you should see them rollout soon in Europe).

Going around the convention floor I've been seeing some awesome BlackBerry cases from different manufacturers. You know how I feel about white BlackBerry Smartphones... I can't help it, I just think they look hot. And given the amount of attention my WHITE BlackBerry Bold 9900 has received this week in Vegas, I think most people -- even those who wouldn't rock a white BB -- do appreciate the look.

While walking through the BlackBerry booth at CES both Adam and I turned out heads to check out the white 9360 as we walked by one of the stations at the booth. Though the white Curve 9360 was announced a while back, somehow we both had never yet seen or held one. So we fired up the CrackBerry cam and put it under the lens, also comparing it to the white Bold 9900. Check out the video above for the action!

Not long ago, the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and Curve 9360 were approved by MasterCard as the world's first SIM-based smartphones to be PayPass Certified. Today, Visa has joined in and approved not only the Bold 9900 and Curve 9360, but the Bold 9790 and Curve 9380 for use as Visa Mobile Payment devices. This is a great example of how NFC can be put to use in a way that will make life easier and more efficient.

If Black Friday sales aren't your thing, T-Mobile is giving you the option of doing some shopping a bit early with their Magenta Saturday sale. This one day only sale is being held November 19th in-store only and you can get some decent deals on a BlackBerry with a new service agreement. Some of these deals include a Bold 9900 for $49.99 down payment after $150 mail-in-rebate, Torch 9810 for $49.99 down payment after $100 mail-in-rebate, and the Curve 9360 with no down payment after $50 mail-in-rebate.

Confused by the term "down payment"? Well, it appears T-Mobile has switched up the way they sell devices, and instead of subsidizing the cost and giving customers free or reduced cost phones, they do a down payment and monthly payment after that for the term of the contract.

The phones listed above actually work out like this:

• BlackBerry Bold 9900: $199.99 down & $20/mo., total: $599.99; $150 MIR avail.
• BlackBerry Torch 9810: $149.99 down & $20/mo., total: $549.99; $100 MIR avail.
• BlackBerry Curve 9360: $49.99 down & $15/mo., total: $349.99; $50 MIR avail.

So, if you're planning on getting a smartphone from T-Mobile, you end up paying more money by taking their monthly plan, vs just paying full cost for the device up front. If you don't have $600 to shell out for a new BlackBerry though, and plan to do the monthly payments, you might as well take advantage of the sale, and get the down payment money back via the mail-in-rebate.

It looks like Rogers is ready to go with the release of the BlackBerry Curve 9360 in white. These dummy units have started arriving in stores and are looking mighty fine. I'm sure many will be happy to get their hands on this one when it hits stores. Fogetting the fact that AT&T doesn't even sell the device yet for a second, BlackBerry Curve 9360 owners can now grab OS 7.0.0.464 for their device from the AT&T BlackBerry downloads page. This OS, is newer then any other offered by carriers which are already selling the BlackBerry Curve 9360 so it may be worth checking out. Just make sure you delete your vendor.xml file to ensure it installs if you're using say a Rogers or TELUS Curve 9360.

It looks like the NFC wheels are in motion for the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and Curve 9360. Rogers seems to this every year as we get closer to Christmas. So much so that it almost feels like a tradition. RIM releases some new devices, then as the snow starts to fly -- Rogers begins rolling them out in white. This year doesn't appear to be any exception to that as the BlackBerry Curve 9360, in the image above will be landing at Rogers in white soon.
