AT&T is stepping things up for potential BlackBerry Z10 buyers. Thanks to their new trade-in program, if you trade in your current smartphone you can receive at least $100 off a number of new devices including the BlackBerry Z10. 

Most devices will net you $100 credit for a new phone, while some newer models can get you even more. So that means if you trade in your current smartphone you can grab a new Z10 for just $99 (down from the $199 retail tag) or less depending on what you're trading in.

So if you've yet to purchase a new Z10, now may be the time to get on it. We know many of you are still holding out for the Q10 to arrive, but there's no telling if the offer will still be valid come launch day.

US carriers will be charging more for that QWERTY love

With the BlackBerry Q10 release date quickly approaching, there has been a lot of debate surrounding the pricing of the first QWERTY BlackBerry 10 device. As we know from previous confirmation, carriers in Canada have set the pricing at $199 with a three-year contract but their US counterparts are looking to price the device higher.

According to Bloomberg and confirmed by BlackBerry, US carriers will sell the BlackBerry Q10 at the suggested price of $249 with the usual two-year contract. When the BlackBerry Z10 was released we saw initial pricing start at $199 and then it went down from there and no doubt we'll see the same happen here but does the initial pricing factor into your buying decision? Makes you wonder.

Recently AT&T put together a Mobile Minute video for their newly-released BlackBerry Z10. The ad is used by AT&T on social media sites like YouTube, Twitter and Facebook to show off the Z10 and highlight some features in just 60 seconds.

The Mobile Minute runs through a bit about the keyboard, display, BlackBerry Hub, BBM Video and Time Shift camera.

It's actually a really good video that explains a lot on what the Z10 has to offer in just about a minute. A great one to show to your friends or family who may be on the fence about grabbing a new Z10 or just asking you "what's so great about it"?

Download OS 7.1.0.912 for the Bold 9900

Lots of BlackBerry Z10 users here in the US are settling in nicely but are always on the lookout for an OS update. We just got word that AT&T is rolling out a new one today that should make for some happy Z10 owners. The update brings us up to OS version 10.0.10.822 (software release 10.0.10.116).

There are a few notes of what's changed such as battery life improvements and support for third-party apps. We can also hope that it fixes a few of the bigger issues like the random reboots that some users have been experiencing. 

If you're on AT&T you should see the update available, but if not go to Settings > Software Updates to check manually. No word on other carriers dropping this OS yet but if you see it pop up be sure to let us know in the comments and we'll update this post as we go.

Having my BlackBerry Z10 now I must say that I do miss keyboard shortcuts, but I'll totally deal with it. That being said - I still can't wait to get my hands on a BlackBerry Q10.

If you're shopping around for the new BlackBerry Z10 you will not want to overlook Amazon and Walmart. These retailers have the Verizon model of the Z10 on sale now for $149 and $139 respectively on eligible contract upgrades. Amazon also has the AT&T model available for $149 with contract upgrade. These are really great prices for the BlackBerry Z10, especially if you're already looking to extend your contract or add a new line. We're not sure how long these prices will be around, so better to act quickly if you want to get in on it.

Another bit of super exciting news is that the BlackBerry Z10 has been topping Amazon's list of Hot New Releases for a while now. Of course, there's been debate in the CrackBerry forums as it seems that depending on where you are sometimes you see the Z10 in the #1 position on the hot list, sometimes #7... but we sure do like that #1 spot! We've been meaning to record a proper CrackBerry Podcast for a while now, but as always seems to happen (despite our promises), we fell off the bandwagon yet again. 

To make up for it we tried something new today. We recorded a vodcast. Apparently that just means video podcast. Which I guess isn't really new since we have been recording our podcasts in video for a while now. But instead of all of us calling in over Skype and mixing streams, we did this one with Adam, Bla1ze and I all sitting in a room together. We also aimed to keep it concise - it clocks in at 23 minutes of pure Cracktastic action. Short and sweet, and we even talk to a special guest at the end (not a mind blowing guest.. a special guest).

You waited it out and today is the day - the BlackBerry Z10 is finally available in the US courtesy of AT&T. We had an amazing night at the launch event in NYC and even got to hang out at midnight as the first BlackBerry Z10 was purchased in the US. After a few emails into the ol' CrackBerry tip line and a couple of phone calls, we've verified that the AT&T BlackBerry Z10 is now available for purchase at select Best Buy locations. While the device isn't set to release on AT&T until Friday, it looks like Best Buy is jumping the gun to get a head start. From the looks of it you won't be able to order online, but you should be able to head to most stores and pick one up. Both the Verizon and T-Mobile models are still listed as coming soon so we'll see if those show up early as well. 

Unfortunately it looks like you won't be able to buy the Z10 outright though, so unless you're buying on contract this isn't the option you're looking for :) 

*Update* It looks like the stores aren't giving up the Z10's anymore. We've tried numerous others and they are now telling us that they can't sell the devices until Friday.

It's go time for the BlackBerry Z10 on AT&T

Looks as though AT&T has decided you've waited long enough for the BlackBerry Z10. If you head on over to the AT&T website, you can now place your order for brand new BlackBerry Z10 for only $199 with a new two-year contract.

As noted previously, preorders placed will start arriving as of March 20th and be in-stores as of March 22nd officially though if history is a sign, a few of the devices might sneak out a little bit earlier if you're lucky.

On the heels of the AT&T BlackBerry Z10 announcement earlier today, it looks like things are off to a good start as OS software 10.0.10.88 (OS version 10.0.10.684) is now available OTA. Current users with an unlocked Z10 on AT&T were left out in the last round of updates from other carriers, so this is a welcome update and it will most likely be the same version for AT&T devices at launch. No word of what's new in this version yet, but you can expect it carries over some of the fixes from other carrier updates including battery life issues, calendar & contact fixes and camera optimizations.

When carriers release new devices, often times they always try to sneak their branding on somewhere and the BlackBerry Z10 is no different. While Rogers actually isn't sporting any carrier branding on their Z10, Verizon went the complete opposite route and is throwing their branding not only on the front of the device but on the back as well. It's not the prettiest way to do things, but there will be no mistaking a Verizon device that's for sure.The option is always there to change out the battery door at least if you're not a fan of the design.

The long-awaited BlackBerry Z10 finally hits AT&T in the US on March 22nd

As expected, AT&T has just announced that the BlackBerry Z10 will go on sale starting March 22nd for $199.99 on-contract. Pre-sales for the Z10 will begin tomorrow for those wanting to get in on the action early and the device will be available for all customers online and in stores in just under two weeks. We've yet to hear any official announcements with a release date from any of the other major US carriers, although T-Mobile business sales should go live later today. We can hope that we'll start seeing some action in the next few weeks but for now, keep reading for the full press release.

Another round of AT&T BlackBerry Z10 rumored release dates has now emerged. This time, March 22nd is mentioned as a date for when AT&T customers may be able to get their hands on the BlackBerry Z10.

Release dates for the BlackBerry Z10 in the U.S. have been a pretty hot topic for the past few days now and it seems as though until all the carriers involved actually put that information out there, the rumored dates will just keep coming. This time around, Hugo Miller over at Bloomberg has added some details to the mix and it's falling in line with what we've heard in the past as well.

According to the article, those on AT&T should be looking at a March 22nd on sale and in store date for the BlackBerry Z10. As we mentioned previously, the March 15th details that have been put out there is most likely when AT&T will declare something official on the matter and possibly even start taking preorders vs. it actually being the day customers can walk in to a store and pick up a BlackBerry Z10.

In any event, AT&T declined to comment further on the matter and at the time of posting BlackBerry had not confirmed the details either. We'll just have to sit back and play the wait and see game for a little bit longer. The BlackBerry Z10 will be coming to AT&T at some point in the very near future as well as T-Mobile and Verizon but until something official from each carrier is put out there, everything is subject to change.

All I know for sure is, it will be a gloriously pleasing day for BlackBerry fans in the U.S. when they can finally pick up a BlackBerry Z10 of their own.

Rumors have been floating around the internet the last couple of days that the BlackBerry Z10 will be available on AT&T come March 15th. We didn't post on that story yet because the odds are slim that will be the day you can go into a store and walk out with one in your hands.

While many folks around the world have been enjoying their shiny new BlackBerry Z10's for weeks now, the one big market that everyone is waiting for still is the good ol' U.S. of A. AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon have been vocal about the fact their releases will be happening between March and April, with Verizon being the latest. However, to break it down and say yes you can walk into a store on this specific day and pick up a BlackBerry Z10, well that information hasn't been unannounced yet. In fact, even pre-orders have yet to be announced by U.S. carriers.  To date the big three have only rolled out simple sign up pages to let folks know they will be carrying the BlackBerry Z10 phone.
