Hmm...any noticable differences? If not, I might just pass.

blah, I tried to update it... got all the way to the loader part then my device manager said there were no updates even when I selected it. So guess I'm waiting for 5.0

i got the same issue with desktop manager loading it. Instead go these locations on a x64 OS go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion. if on x86 OS C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion use the loader.exe and it will update the OS fine. i did notice that a few apps such as instant messenging was downgraded so just go and update again and you are done. So far i haven't seen any cons as to installing it.

i just updated to .310...i used to have the .250.

there is a noticeable difference in the speed of everything. im not too software savvy, so i dont know the technical term for it.

for example: there is very little loading time to access my media files, the camera loads up a bit faster....

overall its faster, other than that i dont really see a major difference, but i could be wrong!

The same thing here with SOCIALITEx. Deleted vendor.xml, then using Loader.exe, then it's a fatal error. Tried using DM as well, same result. Something wrong with the loader I supposed.

Since the upgrade i'm not able to play youtube video over wifi. I'm wondering if this is an os or a router issue. Help? Anyone?

Is this from RIM themselves to be updating? I don't have time to be reading all the the comments to find out if this is worth it or not. If there is a post about the 5.0 coming out before 2010, than why not wait?

According to Blackberryrocks.com this new OS update fixes a browser bug:
http://blackberryrocks.com/2009/09/29/rim-blackberry-browser-bug/
Apparently, after BB found this browser bug they released a new OS update for all their BB phones to address this bug and this update is slowly rolling out now for most of their phones.

... is definitely faster than the official .231 T-Mobile release over the summer. The quicker boot-up alone is worth the upgrade! .231 took FOREVER to reboot.

Not sure I want to upgrade, since 5.0 should be offical soon, but fixing the underline issues with the browser would be nice. that gets annoying. Reboot speed faster would be nice too...hmmm maybe
