New Years Resolution? Your BlackBerry Can Help!

By AllBlackBerry on 21 Apr 2007 12:44 am EDT
It is that time of year again, well the beginning of it, where we all feel like we have to change and improve. It is time for some New Year’s Resolutions. We’ve looked at the top 5 resolutions and put the BlackBerry to work.

1. Lose weight and get in better shape.

This resolution is on my list every single year. Have a look at Ascendo Fitness for BlackBerry, it can really help. With Ascendo Fitness you can set objectives, track nutrition and exercise, measure your progress and calculate numerous fitness ratios. It even comes with a Desktop companion to manage the latest USDA nutrition database containing 7293 nutrition items.

2. Stick to a budget and reduce debts.

trackIT will get you organized and monitor all your expenses. You’ll be able to organize your expenses into categories, draw some charts and even export your data to Quicken, MS Money or QuickBooks. Give it a try here.

3. Get organized

Getting Things Done, commonly abbreviated as GTD, is an action management method, and the title of a book by David Allen. GTD relies on the principle that a person needs to move tasks out of their mind and get them recorded somewhere. That way, the mind is freed from the job of remembering everything that needs to be done, and can concentrate fully on actually performing those tasks. NextAction is a BlackBerry application that helps you to follow this popular method.

4. Learn something new.

Learn a new language or brush up on your English! There are plenty of good dictionaries available for your favorite device.

5. Enjoy more time with family and friends.

You’re most probably wondering, how can my BlackBerry help me spend more time with the ones I love? That’s easy. Spend less time on your BlackBerry. The last thing you want is to become a CrackBerry :)
