That's what BlackBerry users across many carriers are reporting this morning... BES users seem to be ok, and not everyone seems to be affected, but the word so far is that there are BIS difficulties today. Are you getting your emails? Let us know in the comments to this post or keep up to date in the forums... Update: DataOutages.com is now reporting that AT&T 's issue has been resolved. Looking at comments/posts it seems most people who experienced problems are starting to get emails again, so I'll drop the ALERT off the subject title in hope that the sailing will be smooth from here out. Strange that users across carriers were effected though...I wonder if we'll hear what caused the hiccups. Bookmark/Search this post with:

I'm getting all of mine here in NYC. Last email came in at 1246.
I have a curve 8320 using TMO/BIS.
I'm still up and running in NJ as of now .. nothing fishy so far.
Up and running in Michigan, for now anyway.
Just spoke to an AT&T employee who confirmed there are issues right now with the BIS service, but there were no details as of just yet.

I guess we'll see how it plays out. I'm good on Rogers in Canada right now, and hope it stays that way.
i just switched to a 8330 on bell in ontario canada, having trouble switching my bis because its not released yet, lol, but the curve is on the bell site. YAYish

My email is coming in really delayed and in bunches. I'm in NYC with TMO BIS 8320.
I've been receiving all my messages,emails, etc.....all morning from all over the nation.No problems encountered.

Data seems to work fine..
I have no problems with my 8320 unlocked on Rogers BIS. However, the bb unlocked that I sold to my friend is having trouble getting registered. I had it registered two weeks ago with no problems, before I sold it to him. Hmm? I even called Rogers and they are puzzled why it is not registering, although it worked fine for me two weeks ago, but not for my friend. Poor fellow! Any suggestions?

Email outages this morning. I woke up and all the emails were deleted from my phone. I just began to receive them all again a little while ago. Hopefully this is the end of it. Also, when I woke up, none of my calender info was on the home screen except one event that happens a couple months from now. I wonder if the service problem somehow affected my calender as well.

I've been getting my e-mails all day in Calgary on the Rogers network. There were some short delays in sending mail out this morning, but just a minute or so. It's working at normal speed this afternoon.
I have AT&T, live in L.A., and haven't had any e-mail problems today. So I'm good......

Yeah it was down this a.m. I thought I downloaded something bad that was making my phone trip out.Come 2 find out it was the system. I was on the web & it wouldn't load so I turned off my phone & turned it on & it was working again.
are coming through just fine via yahoo server
