Time for some funky racing action - this time with another Android game that you'll need to get from one of the third party app stores. This process may be a little more hassle than grabbing the game from BlackBerry World, but this one's well worth it.

You're going to be wanting to use a BlackBerry Z30 or Z10 for this one. I tried it on my Q10 and although the game loads just fine it is unplayable due to the screen resolution, meaning that not all the on-screen controls are accessible.

Speaking of those - you power your car using the accelerate and brake tabs on the right of the display and over on the left are tilt controls for getting landings right.

The purpose of the game is to get to the end of each course in the quickest time possible while collecting coins along the way. The graphics are stunning with MotoHeroz and the gameplay is fast yet smooth.

Features include:

  • Physics-based racing: fun gameplay with 6 vehicles in 30 exciting tracks
  • Single player fun: Unlock tracks by beating opponents and different challenges
  • Fun for many: Race against your friends in asynchronous multiplayer on each track
  • Claim the top spot: Global and Friends Leader Boards let gamers compete against each other
  • Fully optimized: File size under 40 Mb and blazing fast load times, instant restarts
  • Upgrade your vehicle and acquire in-game goodies for super boosts
  • Gather secrets: Find all of the hidden treasures to beat the game 100%
  • Think you got what it takes to top the charts in MotoHeroz? Then Prove your worth in the One Shot challenges!

You can download MotoHeroz for free and if you don't know how to get Android apps on your BlackBerry hit up the link below.

Am super happy with my Q10. I "need" my physical keyboard, but posts like this make me wish for an updated playbook to have as a 2nd device. (my original playbook still going strong for basic tasks!).

Any chance you could review some BlackBerry games?

CB should do less 'droid support, and much more for dev's who build software for BlackBerry phones. (imho)

A pretty fun little game. I deleted it already though. An ad pops up after you complete each track. I'm ok with a pop up once a game, but every single track? That's a bit much.

Saying that the game runs smoothly and has good graphics on my Z10. Battery went to 41 degrees after 15 minutes of play. So these android games heat up androids just like they do blackberries?

Ha! I am such a lazy editor of my own posts. The prediction on the z30 can be a little weird at times. Joy = not.

Tapped and flicked from my BlackBerry Z30!

Thanks a lot! My kids just lost me for the past half hour due to this find.

Great game! Why don't they just make this for us??

Getting this now via Snap (just an awesome app btw. Snap's dev deserves some kind of special award for the great job they've done with it).

You guys got me totally hooked on Mad Skills Motocross 2 (tyvm), so hopefully this'll be another good pressure relief valve to have in my Zed 10's arsenal.

Thank you as well for the heads up on quality Android apps and games. You guys already do a great job promoting BlackBerry apps, and recommends that help to show off the new BlackBerry devices versatility is only a good thing.

Also, with so so many more droid apps out there to wade through, and thus so so much more crap to accidentally "step in", it's nice to have somewhere trustworthy to get help finding some good ones.

Oh, and complain about ads, that take one tap to move past no less, in FREE games of such high quality? Really?

I have in a galaxy tab and in my Z10, after some upgrades is hard past level, literally you have to buy coins to could upgrade your cars.

I don't understand some of the permissions such as why the app needs my location and access to shared files so I'll pass on this
