We first took a look at Monster Shooter - The Lost Levels when it hit the BlackBerry PlayBook. However, the awesome game is now available for BlackBerry 10 and as it's such an action packed shoot 'em up game it is well worth bringing you another look on it running on the Z10.
Priced at £2.50/$3.99 it's actually one of the best games on BlackBerry 10 if you ask me. Your character must survive wave upon wave of evil enemies who you must shoot with one of the many weapons that can be upgraded throughout the game. When it comes to on-screen controls things are be made real easy. On the left of the display is a joy pad which moves you around the screen. On the opposite side is another and this controls your gun. The great thing here is that before starting a level you have the option of manual or auto aiming - and the auto sure comes in handy.
So just kill the bad guys - each will leave behind a small blue orb which you can collect. Along the way you will also find cash you can pick up as well as energy packs if your life is low.
Graphics wise Monster Shooter is amazing. The colors are a great mix and along with the superb sound effects it makes the game a real joy to play. It does get a little manic at times but as far as I'm concerned that just adds to the excitement.
If you have a few bucks spare and want a truly great game then Monster Shooter - The Lost levels is the one to go for. It rocks
Highlights of the game include:
- New levels, new enemies, new weapons!
- 80 challenging levels on 4 different planets
- 12 upgradeable weapons
- Over 80 achievements
- Leaderboards in survival mode
- Over 100 missions
- Ultra-cute hand-drawn 2D graphics
- Stunning visual and audio effects
