Monster Shooter - The Lost Levels comes to BlackBerry 10

We first took a look at Monster Shooter - The Lost Levels when it hit the BlackBerry PlayBook. However, the awesome game is now available for BlackBerry 10 and as it's such an action packed shoot 'em up game it is well worth bringing you another look on it running on the Z10.

Priced at £2.50/$3.99 it's actually one of the best games on BlackBerry 10 if you ask me. Your character must survive wave upon wave of evil enemies who you must shoot with one of the many weapons that can be upgraded throughout the game. When it comes to on-screen controls things are be made real easy. On the left of the display is a joy pad which moves you around the screen. On the opposite side is another and this controls your gun. The great thing here is that before starting a level you have the option of manual or auto aiming - and the auto sure comes in handy.

So just kill the bad guys - each will leave behind a small blue orb which you can collect. Along the way you will also find cash you can pick up as well as energy packs if your life is low.

Graphics wise Monster Shooter is amazing. The colors are a great mix and along with the superb sound effects it makes the game a real joy to play. It does get a little manic at times but as far as I'm concerned that just adds to the excitement.

If you have a few bucks spare and want a truly great game then Monster Shooter - The Lost levels is the one to go for. It rocks

Highlights of the game include:

  • New levels, new enemies, new weapons!
  • 80 challenging levels on 4 different planets
  • 12 upgradeable weapons
  • Over 80 achievements
  • Leaderboards in survival mode
  • Over 100 missions
  • Ultra-cute hand-drawn 2D graphics
  • Stunning visual and audio effects

Monster Shooter - The Lost Levels comes to BlackBerry 10

Can't say I've played it, but in this case I do find the price seems a bit high for what seems like a straightforward shoot'em up...

I agree... this is overpriced. Should be .99 cents or $1.99 max. By comparison, there are similar HQ games for BB10 that are free!

I have this game. I've had it for about 4 to 6 months now got it for my Playbook when they made it available for bb10 it was free for my Z10 which is nice. If you like going around shooting things you will like it. The Graphics are really good.

Some games allow 1 purchase, but install on 2 devices (PlayBook & Z10) to keep cost down. Is this one of those? Or do they charge twice?

I bought it for my Playbook a long time ago and it was free for my Z10.

** UPDATE **
The developer apparently made a change and got greedy. You no longer pay only once. I purchased it for my PlayBook, and they want to charge for my Z10.

That's BS!! I can only play it on one device at a time. I'm not about to pay them $8.00 for 1 game that is already overpriced at $4.00.

Awesome and thanks! I tried another case and it was too bulky. I can't stand anything restricting side sliding motion because I have pudgy fingers.

This is a fantastic game, well worth the money, bought on PlayBook... love it even more on my Z10!
