If you are going to spend $2.99 on a game for the BlackBerry PlayBook you can't do better than to shell out your cash on Monster Shooter: The Lost Levels. It isn't very often that I come across a PlayBook game that sucks me in for a few hours the first time but this one did - it rocks.
To sum up the game in a couple of words I would say it is 'organised carnage' - which is a good thing. The idea of the game is essentially to shoot and kill all the bad octopus type creatures that are out to destroy you. Along the way you will collect cash which you can spend on buying new weapons as well as upgrading current ones.
There are plenty of other bonuses to pick up along the way, such as faster reload times, armour, etc and gameplay is fast and furious. The graphics and sound are both pretty much perfect and as well as the story mode there is also a survival mode where you can challenge your friends to beat your high-score.
If you are looking for some excitement on your BlackBerry PlayBook look no further.
Features of the game include:
- New levels, new enemies, new weapons!
- 80 challenging levels on 4 different planets
- 12 upgradeable weapons
- Over 80 achievements
- Leaderboards in survival mode
- Over 100 missions
- Ultra-cute hand-drawn 2D graphics
- Stunning visual and audio effects
