If you use your BlackBerry PlayBook as a business tool and haven't tried out 'Money Plus', now may be the perfect time as for one week only the app is going on sale and will cost you just $0.99 (50% discount) which looks to be great value for money if you ask me. If you don't believe me you can check out what current Money Plus users are saying in the CrackBerry forums - it's all good.

Money Plus is an expense tracker and financial management application which was designed purely for the BlackBerry PlayBook. It allows you to quickly capture and categorize transaction details. Transactions can be assigned to unlimited number of cash, credit card or banking accounts and unlimited number of categories. Accounts can be assigned to different currencies.

All data is stored locally on the device and never sent or transmitted to external server, however it can be backed up for off-device storage if desired. Optionally a password can be set which will be required every time application is launched. If you are PC user of software such as Quicken, QuickBooks, Microsoft Money, iCash or web based products such as Mint then you will find Money Plus for BlackBerry PlayBook a perfect match.

The good news for future BlackBerry 10 users is that the developer is planning to release the BB10 version under the same app ID meaning no extra purchase cost will be required when using Money Plus on BB10 - What a nice chap.

crackberry seems to read my mind sometimes... just yesterday i was wondering what apps would fill my need for expense tracking. i'll download this when i get home, thanks james.

Bold 9900 - Playbook 32GB - Lumia 800

is it possible to download bank statements or updated from spread sheet or something or is it all manual ?

No its not possible at the moment but with BlackBerry10 coming I imagine the dev doing this. I just bought it and it's very well done. I've been looking for something like this and I'm glad I saw the post, thanks.

This is an awesome app that I've been using for almost a year. Developer has provided a couple of updates during that time. He also has a BBM group for feedback and suggestions so I'm sure he'll have many more great features worked in for the BB10 version. It's worth the regular 2.00 and at .99 you can not go wrong, you will love this app!

Tried the app after reading this story. Nicely made. However would like it to work on portrait orientation too. Easier to type.
