It's February and you know what that means? Mobile Nations Fitness Month! That's when we all get together to get in shape, share tips and tricks and recipes for success, review amazing apps and accessories, give away great prizes, and have a ton of fun! This year we're doing it a little differently, though. We're doing weekly themes, and that means every week you'll have new and exciting challenges, and new chances to win!

Week 2: Sleep and relaxation!

Relaxation, whether its full on mediation or just some simple breathing exercise, is how we keep our bodies and minds centered and balanced. Sleep is our reboot, when we write our daily cache to disk and run our system repairs so we're ready for the next day. As part of fitness month, we'll be reviewing a bunch of great apps and accessories that can help encourage, track, and train us to sleep and relax better and smarter. We'll also be doing THREE cool contests!

Resting Up contest

First is our Resting Up contest. Every day this week there'll be a thread in our health and fitness forums, and all you have to do to enter is tell us how you slept, napped, meditated, or did your breathing during the day. The idea is to get a little community pressure going so we all sleep and rest better and get healthier. If you have a sleep tracker, app, or anything else that helps you out, you can simply share your results each day!

This is a great way to keep us all motivated and accountable, and get a little healthy peer-pressure going! Plus, every day you enter is a chance to win a $20 gift certificate!

Resting MY Way contest

Second is our Resting MY Way contest. Just head on over to Resting MY Way thread in the forums and tell us how you use your mobile device, your phone or tablet, to sleep and rest better. What are your favorite apps? Yoga? Meditation? White noise? What are your go to accessories? We want to know! Tell it to us in the form of a story, like a blog post. We'll post the best entries on Friday, so get them in ASAP! Need more incentive? We'll pick one winner a week and send them a $100 gift certificate!

Comment to win contest

Last but certainly not least, leave a comment below telling us about your Mobile Nations Fitness Month goals and you'll be entered to win a Fitbit It's a great -- and super geeky! -- way to track multiple aspects of your healthy lifestyle. You want to win this, so hurry up and leave a comment NOW!

Mobile Nations fitness month week 3: Sleep and relaxation!

Maintaining a food diary on my BlackBerry as it is always by my side. Tons of music on my BlackBerry to motivate me at the gym. Use PlayBook as E-Reader on bike at gym. Averaging 3 lbs a week.... BlackBerry solution for a BlackBerry addict... Waiting for the Q10 to bring things up a notch.

My blackberry keeps track of my work out schedule, my food schedule through out the day, my grocery list for foods I know I need to pick up and so on.

I've used the LiveStrong calorie tracker on my BlackBerry to monitor how many calories I'm eating. Waiting to try out the Z10 when it finally makes it to the US!

My goal is to have at least 7 hours sleep at night (hopefully).
My 2 years old son is very active nowadays, and sometimes I would be lucky if he sleep before midnight. I need my beauty sleep lol

My goal is to continue my weight loss journey by working in more exercise to compliment my dieting. I've lost 27 lbs at this point since the beginning of January but I still want to lose another 25 lbs and I have gotten to the point where exercise needs to start playing a bigger role in my week to make sure I am receiving an adequate amount of food while still losing weight. A fitbit would be a GREAT tool to help track and incentivise this goal.

Georgia is looking awesome.
In my dreams, I have been running after her all week long.
Won't stop till I catch up.

Last year, I trained and ran 5K, 10K, and ultimately a half marathon. This year, I'm concentrating on hitting to move some heavy weights. ;) I'll have to eat more to gain some weight to work in conjunction weight training. I am sore after each workout so it feels like I am making progress.

My wife and I are doing Biggest Loser at our local gym. Lots of good motivation both from fellow members, and from each other to keep going, and keep our eating plan on track. Getting rest is so critical for continued performance at the gym, and energy through the day. I feel better than I have just in 3 weeks of work

My goals are: to eat better ( no more fast food, better home cooked meals)

Exercise more and be more active overall.

Working out (eventual goal; gain 15lbs) so I can sleep like a log at night!...can't wait to pair my new fitbit with myfitnesspal!

I use my BlackBerry to keep track of what I'm eating and my weight and current measurements, along with a weight scale and body tape. My goal was to get back in shape starting the last week of December last year. I use the zip fitbit to keep track of how active and how many footsteps I've been taking daily. I have my goals and use a weight scale, and have the FitDeck Mobile app on my BlackBerry with the stairs workout, office workout, Pilates, and Bodyweight so I can use exercise everywhere throughout the day now that I'm used to the new way of eating I've been using. I use my PlayBook as well, using it for better healthy recipes with Cooklet and Zinio for the health magazines. My goal is to get at least 7 hours a day of sleep and I use my BlackBerry and my BlackBerry Music Gateway that's plugged into my little boom box to use music to lull me to sleep. I'm feeling so much better being aware with my BlackBerry and PlayBook that are my Fitness buddies. I'd love to have the fitbit that keeps track of your sleep so I can get a better idea if I'm sleeping soundly or for how long.

My fitness goals are: to gain about 15-20 lbs of muscle (I'm borderline underweight), get more restful sleep (I frequently wake up), eat more, and to keep working out as a stress reliever. I use my phone to track my sleep (and as an alarm), and for music when I work out alone.

I love that CrackBerry is promoting fitness. Mental fitness is also a part of overall well-being. :)

Use my BB and the FatSecret app to track my intake. Access the FitBit mobile website on my BB but I am hoping they come out with a BB10 app soon! My wife has been wanting a FitBit after seeing mine.

My goal is to come back stronger after injuring my knee this week. I have Ultimate Nationals at the end of April and will be doing everything I can to come back stronger by continuing to lift weights and get in more quality rest to help with recovery.

I try to use my BB to map my runs and listen to music. I can then update my times and make better times next time

I use the stop watch and timer feature on my blackberry to do interval training on the treadmill. It is much more effective than using the interval timer on the machine. I am a runner in training and this has helped tremendously!
