Shooger for BlackBerry 

Mobile coupon provider Shooger announced today the availability of their new BlackBerry application. Shooger allows consumers to find money-saving deals on various products and services. The app includes location based offers and displays coupons on your device to show to merchants. Categories include restaurants and bars, home improvement, travel, sports & recreation and more. Features of the app include:

  • Location-based offers: Find deals by proximity, category and keyword
  • Maps and click-to-call: Click on a coupon for maps, driving directions, the merchant's website and a click-to-call option
  • Coupon redemption: Show the merchant the Shooger coupon on your mobile device for the discount
  • Clip and follow to save: Clip coupons to save them and follow favorite merchants to receive alerts when new deals become available

Shooger is available free for all devices running OS 4.6 or higher from shooger.com.

I'm finding it harder and harder to find a store that will except these types of coupons. Most will not except anything but an official manufacturers coupon. Too many stores are getting burnt with fake internet coupons.

I agree, I only use the ones that have PROMO code on the coupon cause those are the legit ones and you can tell them to enter it into their system.

Agree with above comments. Also, make sure to go to shooger.com and see if there are any coupons available in your area. There are none in Edmonton, Canada

Shooger coupons are currently specific to the U.S. Deals are validated, as offers are either uploaded by merchants themselves or included based on an advertising relationship they have with a content partner like Valpak making coupon redemption easy for consumers.

I tried to download this from bb app world, there is a page for the app and you can get a link sent to you, but when I attempted to start the download nothing happens. When I go back to the app page, the download button is gone. Just FYI.

Sent myself the link from App World and then it just sat there claiming to download for half and hour.

Then just to bug me, App World let me know that PhotoClub had an available update. Clicked on Upgrade only to be informed that PhotoClub is not available for download from App World. App World seriously makes me think that it's run by a twisted, deranged individual.

At walmart we accept only paper coupons cuz we have to put it in the register to make sure our register balances so these would be no good, but this is in Toronto

Tried to D/L from the AppStore but screen froze before a bit changed hands. Then tried to watch the YouTube video describing the program and it quit several times at less than the halfway point.

But I will try again later. Maybe this blog entry on CB crashed their d\l servers?

Ed: Hardly any offers in Houston. Have to let this app grow up a few months before it is worthwhile. As another poster suggested. go to www.shooger.com to find out if there is anything in your city.

Must be junk...sounded nice but still no download... thought it could have been server overload but with these few comments I would imagine it's just junk...but then crackberry deserves a foul ball every now and again

The app is supported on BlackBerry models that run at least v 4.6 OS and have a screen resolution of 360x400 or better — which includes Blackberry Bolds and Storms and a limited number of Curve models (8900, 8910, 8930).

That doesn't explain why the app doesn't install on my 8900. It just sits there in App World downloading.....forever.
