Did you miss out on the BlackBerry 10 and ActiveSync webinar? If so, you can now catch the replay. The webinar is aimed at those using BES10 (BlackBerry Enterprise Server 10) and would like to know more about ActiveSync and how BlackBerry 10 uses it but anyone can tune in and come away with learning something.

The topics that covered in the webinar are:

  • Understanding the ActiveSync protocol
  • The move from native mail server APIs to ActiveSync
  • BES 10 Gatekeeping and Security
  • BlackBerry 10 ActiveSync Version and capabilities discovery
  • Parsing the ActiveSync connection logic
  • ActiveSync error codes
  • Troubleshooting

The webinar is a bit over an hour long, so you'll want to set aside some time in order to take it all in but it is live right now for everyone to check out. You can hit up the Adobe Connect site to view it.

I'm pretty content with activesync on my z30. Hoping our organization will go with the bes 10 solution. They are considering mobile iron or air watch right now.

What is their justification? BlackBerry a year ago had their sale poster out but today it's in a much better situation. Unfortunately, not everyone knows that.

I'm hoping mine will upgrade to BES 12 before retiring our BES 5. At least that way I can connect my Z30 to it instead of Air Watch. BBRY released the API's to Air Watch and they have a BBRY world Air Watch App. Mobile Iron does not so that would be the worst case for you.

Best BlackBerry webinar I've watched in a while. Great information from the enterprise perspective

This is BlackBerry of old, coming back. I haven't seen such informative sessions in a very long time. Great job BlackBerry and Brian!
