Merriam-Webster's Dictionary

Paragon Software/Penreader has just released the Merriam-Webster's Third New International Dictionary, Unabridged app for BlackBerry smartphones. The app includes the same content as the famous paper dictionary, covering over 257,244 entries and 700,000 definitions, and provides fastest definition lookup on a mobile device. The application may be a bit pricy for some who can find alternative free methods, but for those who want instant results, the app is one of the top solutions out there. It is available for all devices running OS 4.2.1 and up with different pricing, depending on which version you buy.

Contest: We have 5 copies of Merriam-Webster's Unabridged Dictionary, and 5 copies of the Collegiate version to give away. Just leave a comment on this post to enter. Contest ends this Sunday at Midnight PST. Please only leave one comment, multiple entries wont count.

Merriam-Webster's Third New International Dictionary Updated - 10 Copies to be Won!

I would LOVE an unabridged version for my crackberry!!!!
I always need to look up words for work and when I'm on the go. What better way than to have it on my phone???

As a college student, it would be great if I could win a copy of this. I would luv too! Thanks for the chance " and Merriam-Webster"

Finally some1 that gives a crap (lol) about our language. Not does the spell check has everything and everywhere. I love this idea. Then again u always have great ideas and apps.

This would be great for me considering I am going to school right now. I would love to get a copy of dictionary to be right on my phone!

the app is still not available for the Stom, so I need an alternative...(unless anyone knows of free dictionary apps for the Storm/2?)

...dictionary apps I ever bought for the Palm OS. It's great see their products available for the BlackBerry.

Dis here ting wood be a big help two me cauze i aint got know peoples two asked bout how u spel wurds. pleez pik me cauze eye needs a dikshunaire reel bad.
And for those who don’t get it, yes I can really spell. In today’s world, heaven forbid if you try and be funny without putting a disclaimer with it. PC insanity. (Doesn’t stand for personal computer).

Have always had a dictionary on whatever electronic gadget I used for organization. To have Webster's on my Tour: PRICELESS! Never won on your site before so pretty please may I win this??
Thanks!! :-)

I got to have it because it is the best! and I want nothing but the best! woohoo! Thanks in advance! app is cool, but i'd rather have this one.

i read the dictionaries like little girls read teen gossip magazines.

I cant put them down.

Law School is a bitch... have some sympathy!
Either version would help a lot!
Thanks for the opportunity

The app that was blogged about back in October seems to work quite well and would be a good option for anyone wanting a free dictionary app.

Tiny-ized CB Blog URL:

It also integrates with BlackBerry email so you can instantly access a definition or synonym while reading or drafting an email.

I use Merriam all the time on line for my graduate studies. I would love to win a copy of this for my BB! This would be the best prize win ever (unless I win the around the world trip contest, of course). It would be nice to win something I would actually use often.

I think I leave the decision in hands of CrackBerry judges. By the way there are no spelling mistakes because I used dictionary.

I am a horrible writer and spelling. If anyone who could use a dictionary I think it would be me...just ask my wife who proofreads all my work.

Cov-et [kuhv-it] - verb

1. to desire wrongfully, inordinately, or without due regard for the rights of others

2. to wish for, esp, eagerly

This is something I'd probably use pretty often based on how frequently I visit

i love to get my hands on this dictionary its the one of the best in the market for my crackberry storm.

This is the very dictionary I use every day. Nice to have on my BB so I can use it anywhere!

My daughters are always asking me to spell or define words for them, this would be outstanding to have to help them, and me of course.

I don't know how this works. Are 10 people randomly selected or do I have to write a really good comment? because I would really love to have this. Would buy it, but then again I'm a student and it's priced way out of my league...
