Make sweet music with NodeBeat for the BlackBerry PlayBook

After using MorphWiz-Play I seem to be in a music mode, always on the hunt for the latest and greatest music apps. Heck, maybe I’ll even start a band or become a DJ! Okay, probably not, but why not have fun with creating crazy tunes? Maybe someday I’ll get better at it. Today a new music app has been approved for the BlackBerry PlayBook called NodeBeat. I must say that this app has an interesting take on music creation. Essentially what you are doing is placing little nodes on the screen with some creating the beat and others create the tone. But put them together and you can have some sweet sounding music.

  • Friendly, Intuitive and Easy to Use
  • Record and Save Creations
  • Drum and Octave Generators
  • Preset Layouts to Help Get You Started
  • Sleep Timer for Falling Asleep to NodeBeat

Audio and Rhythm
  • 20 Musical Scales
  • All 12 Musical Keys Signatures
  • 7 Octave Range
  • Multitouch Background Keyboard/Piano
  • Audio Waveform Adjustment (Sine, Triangle, Sawtooth, Square)
  • Creative Sound Sculpting (Echo, Attack, Decay, Release)
  • Adjustable Tempo (BPM) and Note Beat
NodeBeat can be found in BlackBerry App World and is currently set at a nice low price of 99 cents. If a DJ career is in your future, or you're like me and just enjoy seeing what you can create, you'll want to check out NodeBeat for the BlackBerry PlayBook.

Keep the music apps reviews coming! I'm a dj and love some of the music apps on the PB. Its hard to tell what's good smetimes without the reviews!! Making and playing music on my PB is awesome!!

Like this, thanks for the review. Wish theres a way to record it and integrate it to bb phones and make it as a ring tone...awesome..

Dear CrackBerry:

Can you please do a post/review for Caustic 2? MorphWiz and Nodebeat are good, but Caustic 2 is too incredible to go unnoticed.

Very very cool and the developer shares a nice story on twitter about writing for the Playbook.

I think we will be seeing appworld flourish with top notch apps from here on out.

BlackBerry is here to fucc what you say....BB10 is on the way....and it will be available for my play........BOOK!!! Uh-uh--UH Ha!!! Put a beat to that!!!!!

They're saved in "shared/Music/NodeBeat" folder on the device. You can also play them directly from "File Manager -> Music".

if these awesome apps keep cming out this fast then im soon gonna max out my cc. everyday another sale. keep em coming. now we just need a few more cool spectrum analyzers and we will be set.
