Love puzzles? Get some brain activity going with Logic Puzzles

By DJ Reyes on 1 Sep 2013 12:15 pm EDT

I love puzzles in any shape or form. I've already filled up a folder on my BlackBerry device with puzzle games and may need to create a second one. There are a lot of enjoyable puzzle games to be found in BlackBerry World and one of them is Logic Puzzles, brought to you by our very own weekend coder. It's one of my favorite types of puzzles and a great way to exercise those brain muscles.

There are three levels of difficulty to choose from and enough to keep you busy. Basically, Logic Puzzles presents you with logical word puzzles to solve. The easiest level is the 3x3 grid. You're given a scenario then you have to choose the correct combination answer to that scenario (or clue). The 3x3 grid is pretty easy and more of a warm up for your brain. The other difficulty levels are 4x4 and 5x5 grids, where things get a little bit more interesting.

The 3x3 level consists of 9 puzzles, the 4x4 level has 21 puzzles and you have 20 puzzles to get through in the 5x5 level. Though the second half of the 4x4 and 5x5 levels need to be unlocked via in-app purchasing.

Logic Puzzles' Clues

The graphics are pretty cool and I love the little animation on the grids when you select them. There is also a nice sound effect that plays when you get the answer correct. An added touch is a green LED flash when you answer correctly, too.

Logic Puzzles' features:

  • 50 challenging puzzles (24 Free)
  • Three difficulty levels: 3x3, 4x4 and 5x5 puzzles
  • HD graphics and effects
  • Great for LSAT studying
  • Fun for all ages
  • Share your progress with your friends

Logic Puzzles is free to download and like I said to unlock the rest of the 4x4 and 5x5 levels, you need to do so via an in-app purchase that will fetch you $0.99. A small price to pay to flex those brain muscles. Plus, you're helping out the developer and you may get more puzzles out of it.

Logic puzzles is available for the Z10, Q10 and Q5. Highly recommended if you like these types of puzzles.

Looks like something I have to check out. Puzzle games are almost all I play on a smartphone.

ADHD fingers!! lol. Sorry, that actually distracted me the entire review... :-P

DJ Reyes

I shall remember that for my next video.

No no, it's probably just me, lol. I tend to pay attention to movement a lot... The review was good, I went and downloaded it, pretty fun so far. :-)

Brian Scheirer

Awesome, thanks for the review. I am constantly working on new puzzles and improving little things in the game. Hope everyone enjoys the game :)

It's awesome. I had to force myself to turn it off so I can study. Thanks for it ;)

Awesome game Brian, great job! Kept me well entertained :)

Great job on the app man! I bought the full version but I am stuck on 5-11 because the clue does not match with the names displayed on the screen! Maybe it's just my version? Or do you see that too?

Mr Gill

Will be my first puzzle game but I will check it out as it might help me for my upcoming LSAT :D

> "an in-app purchase that will fetch you $0.99."

An in-app purchase of money? Why would I buy money in a game? How much does this 99 cents cost me? And how is it awarded; via App Store credit? Or will the developer mail me a check?

Tyrone Whiston

What they mean is you can purchase the other puzzles inside the App for $0.99.
